I absolutley love some of these interesting records, and i want to see your whole collection. so please keep posting!!! And thats what i meant by no talking, please dont take it as a put down, (ya gotta enjoy a good canadian accent) but the quicker you get to the point, the more albums you show, if there's alot to say about a certain album, thats fine but you better be putting out more videos. you got some great stuff and much respect.....BUT POST MORE VIDEOS!!!!
@clerksfan89 *giggles* Thanks for the comment! I do want to make more videos. The reason I haven't is because of hardware problems and being too poor ATM to replace that. I migrated to another PC tower (a handdown from a friend) and it doesn't have a video capture card. But I will post more one day, for sure. I'll probably flip through them at about the same pace as for my Elvis & Beatles records.
@clerksfan89 Oh, I agree. I don't buy only collectible ablums. If I did, I wouldn't waste my time going to yard sales and charity bazars. Only a little fraction of my collection has monetary value.
No, I buy records that I like, and I like a lot of different kinds of music and genres. It's just an added bonus to find a record that has monetary value BUT that cost me little. :-)
Please elaborate on why I shouldn't talk. It slows down the video, or my voice/accent suck?
Love your information on the cover and mono/stereo variations! I have 2 REO 78s of "I Hear You Knockin'" by Gale Storm and "Speedoo" by The Cadillacs!
sorry my brother typed that. he likes punk as much as i like punk and trys to copy me. he doesn't even know one song from crass. so just ignore that comment. hes a dumbass
Your record collection makes mine look like dime store specials.
Also, you have a soothing accent. I could listen to you talk for hours :-)
As for records from yard sales, I've found some decent ones, but also a lot of junk ones. I just spent several hours cleaning records that were so moldy that I had to toss the jackets :-P I really need a good record cleaning machine. Rags just don't cut it when your collection gets past a certain size.
Cleaning records is a problem for which I haven't found a solution. I'm always very careful not to drop water on the labels when I wash a record with mild liquid soap and warm (not hot) water. As for molded covers, I only keep them if they are very rare records, so I have very few in that condition. I once paid $20+ for an LP off eBay and there was mold on the record labels! Ebay's a bad choice for buying vinyl.
I've checked and the sleeve has a little bit of spine damage, but the record is all shiny, M-. I've done some research and you weren't kidding! Prices vary from $75 up to $150! Thanks again for the info!
wow. that was great. thanks! i espescially dig that marvin gaye record and the australian beatles stuff. i didn't know about the "mono" and "stereo" thing with the cover images. i swear i learn something new about records every time i meet a collector. -catherine
Thanks for sharing! I have not gotten the guts to talk on our videos as of yet lol! New to the video thing. So many of our vinyl is kept for our enjoyment as well! I love all the information on the covers and the posters, stickers, booklets inside of these as well. People who are not into these as we are just have no clue how addicting these are!
Thanks for your comments! Don't forget to check the other videos I've posted. I'll be making more in the future. I've checked out your videos too and I enjoy them!
Very nice collection! You really know your stuff. I only know a little about what I have and don't really know whats valuable, just have fun collecting.
Thank you! Knowing about records comes from experience, that's all. Having fun collecting is the most important part! I keep soooooo many worthless records, because I enjoy them!

Thank you! I try to count my blessings instead of being jealous at other collectors' finds. My own collection isn't too shabby after all.

FYI, that 'Paper Garden' record is worth about $100 if it's in good shape.

Wow, thanks for the info! I'll have to check, but I think it is in great condition. I got it two years ago for 29.4 cents!
