I did educate myself after posting that last comment, and you are right. I thought someone was calling the dog an american bully as a short way of saying american bulldog, because I did not know what an american bully was. I've never seen one in person, but since researching them a little, I've become somewhat of a fan of the breed. I would consider owning one in the future. They seem like well- behaved, even- tempered, and easy to own dogs. Well done.

I would understand an increase of muscle mass in working pits, but a wider head? That's a mutation that takes time to have happen (or a mix of staffy/mastiff). And interpretation only goes so far. A show judge (not weight pulling or agility) can only go within the standard, and that standard has a certain size, weight, and color.

Yeah, you're right with the head- it doesn't have to be a certain size. But it does have to be proportionate to the body type. The pit in here was a little short to have that big of a head.

he is 18in. to tha withers and can weight as much as 90lbs. but for the summer i try and keep him under 80lbs.
despite his head being tha size it looks small compared to his body in real life, the blood he comes from is very correct and is tripled on a ukc grand champion throwin knuckles.
no hes not built like the actuel american pit bull ter. with all the breeding thats gone on the body makes have changed over time. but you also cant go by show qualifications, they breed alot of the working dog out of the dog just for the show

so u are sayin because he is so heavy set, he cant possibley be a pitbull.LOL. come on man. do u know bout a great feeding program dude? i can slim this boy down to 65lbs, if i wanted to.and post him back up with a diff name, and u would be like wow. great lookin pit.but i dont care for a thin,lean lookin pit. therefore i feed more protein, and use short heavy exercises to build his muscle mass as oppose to long distance wind exercise to lower weight, and cut up tha muscle!
