  • too bad its not hatchback.

  • I could do without the fucking jungle music

  • Nice editing

  • I like almost everything about that car....... Except the WING = PUKE

I had a '10 sti hatch loved it - would have considered a wingless sedan for sure if i was in the market.

  • Nice video! What programs did you use to make it?

  • You got the right color! ;)

  • You sir are genius. This video was to hilarious. Must have more!

  • Absolutely EPIC LoL! I laughed so loud when the COBB AP showed up in the mail I gave myself away at work that I was not working very much LoL! The email is like many of us car folk I believe! Excellent video.

  • @Aetherfury I was wondering since you have owned both the MS3 and the STI, how do the interior qualities compare? To me it looks like the Subaru have a less sporty looking interior with less attention to detail and finish than the MS3. Is this the case or are my eyes deceiving me? Love the new STI btw! Congrats!

  • @xB4RK3R Honestly it's kind of hard to explain. The Subaru interior materials feel like better quality and are more solid, but they are a lot "older" looking than the more stylish MS3 interior was imo. Now that I'm used to it, I like the STI setup just fine, but at first it was a little shocking.

  • @Aetherfury Kinda like the Evo 9 interiors- Nice but not as "retro" or "trendy" as others, gotcha! Thanks for the reply! And really nice ride. Enjoy the hell out of it!

  • @Aetherfury Nice sti. I never really got into subaru but now that i am looking into them they are very convincing. I've seen them pull out ambulances in the snow. LOL! anyway, coming from bmw's and pretty much rear wheel driven cars, what is a subaru like. I understand u own a top of the line sti, but what is really great about them. I would go look it up and research it a bit but want to know it from an owner. never driven awd but i really want one since they own me at a stoplight lol. Thnks

  • @homeboyskilletfresh I actually have a base model STi, but that is because fully loaded they are almost $40k. Mine was more like $32k. I would say the best thing is that they do "everything" pretty well. It's decently fast from a dig or roll, can be driven in the snow, gets acceptable gas mileage and still has 4 doors to take friends (or drive my daughter around) There are faster cars and RWD is more fun, but it's nice to have a daily driver that can do it all. Oh yeah, AWD drives like a tank.

  • @Aetherfury But what about this whole boxer engine thing. I mean are they reliable? Are the parts expensive? From a performance point of view what is the awd like? I've driven front and rear wheel drive cars and they do different things on corners. RWD u put gas into a corner and with FWD gas in the apex of a corner. What is the AWD like in a corner? Do you add more gas in the turn or what? Sorry for the ? marks but I am looking into a WRX since I live in Indiana. Need something good for summer2

  • @homeboyskilletfresh I think any engine is reliable if treated right, but it's a pretty solid engine regardless of what you hear online. Parts are a little bit more expensive than my old Mazda. It drives more like FWD in a corner (ie. you can floor it through most of the corner and it holds like a champ) it also understeers like FWD so when it loses traction it pushes straight instead of kicking out. RWD is more fun, but I like AWD better.

  • @Aetherfury Wow! Nice upgrade here. The Mazdaspeed3 community will miss your awesome videos, but I assume we'll see some from you with this Subie! May I ask what the plateau of your MS3 in terms of mods was? Again, looking forward to vids of the STI.

  • GREAT VIDEO- NOBODY SHOULD HATE ON THIS BECAUSE ITS A EXCELLENT CAR!

  • how can you honestly say that it felt like the Mazda speed 3 felt faster? I own a 2011 WRX, and never driven a speed3 so not trying to talk shit but just curious, 'cause the WRX feels scary fast to me, but definately want to know how stage 1 does....Beautiful WRX STi by the way man

  • @2011WRBWRX Thanks! Honestly, the Speed3 is surprisingly fast from a roll. Watch any number of STI vs Speed3 videos and it's shocking well they do from a 40mph roll. From a stoplight the WRX/STI feels a TON faster though, I agree

  • @2011WRBWRX

Easy, a stock WRX or STI is not faster than a modded MS3 from a roll.

AWD has the highest drivetrain losses out of the three drivetrain configurations. A WRX/STI will STOMP a MS3 from a dig, but from a roll the tables are turned and it is a completely different story.

  • pure car sex

  • where did you get that carbon fiber part on the trunk?

  • @Paintballin4respect It came from the Dealer with it. I think it's some accessory. I didn't request it, but it was the only white STI in the area when I first bought it!

  • When I saw the COBB box in the mail I died laughing. HAHA! Very clever video!

  • Fantastic video great editing and quality. I just placed my order and awaiting delivery of my spec R STI cant wait..... The last bit even made my wife laugh :) well done :)

  • can you do a tutorial video for the COBB accessport? Like the different features. Just what you can do in general.

    Thanks

  • @katanamast279 I actually meant to do this a while ago, maybe I'll combine this with a suggestion someone else made to use the music from Inception haha

  • What is the 2nd song please? The one by ES Posthumus. I think you forgot to include the title in your description. Love this video. Epic.

  • @vinzorelli Thanks! The song title is "Menouthis"

  • do you notice much difference after installing it? deciding whether or not to get one for my 11wrx

  • @m4a1enemy Huge difference. To me it felt like a different car and pulls so much harder up top in the RPMs. It's also smoother.

  • haha lol I liked the jaws music and the letter

  • lol i said the same thing to my wife,,,,,hahahahha,,,but im get the AP after car gets boken in....

  • I feel like the beeping from the vehicle sounds a bit different when the gauges are going through the start-up diagnostics, any insight? Or am I mistaken?

  • @JonLea It is different, it's actually slowed down by about 50%!

  • Ha! Awesome. Your video makes me afraid to get back in my 2011 STi for fear of it doing something epic.

  • Nice using Cold at the beginning. Glad they are recording again. Nice STi BTW, I have an 09 WRX with Access port and Cat Back exhaust from SPT. Good use of your Canon as well, I like messing around and shooting video with my wife's 5D MII when I'm not lazy and just don't use my Sony HDR-SR10 haha.

  • Did you see any dark grey color STI's. That's the color I want. I have only seen a WRC blue going down the road,so I don't know how it looks in person.

  • LMAO!! I actually laughed with this one cause it reminded me of my wife and I!

  • hahaha nice video!!

  • You did an awesome job, I like the email from husband to wife...EPIC! Can't wait to see the rest!

  • Is this the limited?

  • I was hoping I would see a nice test run it that sexy beast. That shit was funny though, I mean hell yea you have to at least put a cobb stage 1 or 2 on it. I got an 05 cobb stage 2 right now and I'm about to trade it in for a new STi 11. This ? is for anyone who knows and has driven STI's, is the 2011 the one to get? Would you trade in your 55,000 mile stage 2 perfect condition 05 for a new 2011 STi? I'm a little on the fence. But, that looks real nice my friend.

  • Newest edition to my family.. cant wait to drive it!

  • That's actually very well edited!

  • What are stock 0-60 and quarter mile times on WRX STI?

  • @josh1303 Magazines get all different times between how well they drive it. I've seen everything from 4.8-6.1 posted for 0-60. I think low to mid 5's is a safe average. Quarter mile times are the same, varied from low 13's to high 13's. The 2011 WRX is faster to 60 because it can hit 60mph in 2nd gear, whereas the STi needs to shift into third.

  • @josh1303 4.7 is 0 60 not sure of the quarter

  • Very nice car, i see why you traded the speed! i would too haha, but i am loving the speed now with the ap, the cobb ap is the best investment for any car they make one for.

  • haha this epicness reminds me of god of war.... ah subarus and gow, amazing, i just hate how these newer subarus dont rev like they used to, its pretty gay

  • you didn't like you speed3? =(

i would trade my speed3 for sti if i had the money anyways.

    nice car

  • @wspyun I loved it actually! I just got an opportunity with a good price on an STi. We have been having bad winters in the DC Metro area and I wanted AWD too.

  • @Aetherfury Both are great choices. Once my payments are up on my Speed6, I'm getting one. Best of luck with those DC winters.

  • 1080p FTW! seriously i hate the look on the hatchback STI, this is the one to get! Sedan like it always was, best looking STI :D i mean look at 0:54 THE SIZE OF THAT WING! ahhh orgasmic. Great videos like always bro, cant wait to see whats next. Keep it up!

  • Thanks for all the feedback! This one really makes me laugh too. For those of you that have messaged me here is all the gear used:

Canon 7D Body shooting 1280x720 @ 60fps, manual mode 1/60th of a second and f/2.0-2.8. I used an ND filter over the lens so I could shoot at f/2.0. Lenses were a 50mm 1.4, 100m 2.8 and 10-22mm. Tripod is made up of Manfrotto 055xpro legs and 701hdv fluid head.

    Edited on Sony Vegas 9

  • Let me know how that goes? I'm looking to purchase next month.

  • Good song choice at the beginning, COLD ROCKS!

  • That's hilarious!

  • Nice car. I picked up a OBP 2011 Limited sedan about a month ago and I'm still blown away by how awesome it is. Any dyno numbers from before/after the S1 AP tune?

  • You lucky bastard. Nice choice.

  • Congrats on the purchase!

Great production value there in the video ;)

I will take a leap here and say ....Stage 2 is going to be the sequel.

  • good stuff, great looking car. I don't know if I could decide between the hatch and sedan.

  • @abysal311 IMO sedan is the way to go.
