You know my ex-husband demanded that I have dinner cooked for him when he got home, get up early to make his lunch, keep his house and clothes spotless, and bring him cold drinks whenever he demanded and the bastard still left me for a stripper. My new man cooks his own damn food, washes his own laundry, helps me take care of the baby, and gives me massages when I get home. I, in turn, do the lawn mowing and yard care. Guess what? Cute concept, doing a video to go along with the vintage article (for those of you lacking in a sense of humor or literacy, this article has been making the rounds of the internet for YEARS). Pretty good visual set up too, making the most of modern homes to imitate vintage ones. (Maybe keep TVs and microwaves out of the shot?)
Advice for future: some of the shots from the middle on run a bit too long and you lose viewer interest. Trim it up a bit.
But a solid attempt. Keep at it!

The cooking and cleaning part of this guide is the the outrageous part. It is rather natural that if one of the parties in a relationship is at home while the other one works then that person should take pride in the housework, it is their profession after all. The problem with this, and where the sexism comes in are comments like his topics are more important than yours, or how women where expected to be servants for their husbands. Being a housewife do not equal being a servant, nor should it.

That doesn't mean I'm disrespected and bossed around by a "flintstone" but I do what I can for my family because I want to and know it will be appreciated. So the role of a housewife is to created a fantasy world, so he thinks his kids are always well behaved and well dressed, the house is never untidy and were a woman caters to his every need, while he is allowed to ignore her, not come home, not call her and be waited on.
