  • I live in yuma, az. I know there's a red wing store here. But all I think they do is re-soul. And not whatever else I want done to them.

  • @MrJosephsoto Looks like there are a number of stores authorized to sell Red Wings in your area, but the closest Red Wing Shoe Store is quite a distance from you: El Cajon, CA to be exact. I'll find out if we have an authorized repair shop near you, and how you can arrange to have them sent in for repair. If there's nothing close, we can find a way to have you send them to Red Wing, MN for repair at the factory.

  • @MrJosephsoto Looks like you need to either contact the store in El Cajon, or you can send them directly to our shop in Red Wing. If you have more questions regarding repair options or to request a shipping label I suggest phoning our repair staff at 1-800-328-9453 or email them at shoe.repair at redwingshoes com Our Repair Shop is staffed from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm CST Monday thru Thursday and 6:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday

  • I need my chukkas resouled and just everything done to them. I don't think my shoe shop here I town do all of that. What do I do?

  • @MrJosephsoto Where are you located? Your best bet is to take them to a Red Wing Shoe Store if there is one in your area. Regardless, let us know and we can see if there's an authorized repair shop near you. Red Wing Shoe Stores show up as red icons in the results on our store finder page on the Red Wing Shoes site.

  • to call people who have actually laughed at people who have sent their shoes/boots in for for repair to either Red Wing, or Shoe repair businesses, think about it this way...you buy a pair for 150.00 every year for five years for 750.00...Great! If your boss pays for them even greater!

Repair them 2 times, for 80.00 each time, and then repeat. 600.00 instead of 750.00* I am not saying it is a sin to keep buying new ones, but think about the 150.00 you have saved! what could you do with that?!!

  • Red wing shoes rocks.

  • Growing up in MN Red Wing shoes is great, however my experience is many stores will tell you a shoe can't be repaired when it really can. I've had multiple pairs perfectly re-soled or re-stiched by independent cobblers when a Red Wing sales person told me it couldn't be fixed....

  • @ericl530 In most cases, the final determination of whether a boot can be repaired requires the sole to be removed. A visual inspection isn’t the final answer. This is done by cutting the boot with a band saw. Once the sole is removed, the repairman can determine if the structure of the boot is solid enough to accept a new sole. However, once the boot is cut it is either a candidate for repair or the trash. There is no turning back.

  • Store personnel maybe hesitant to send questionable boots onto our repair shop as there is shipping expense involved. There is no argument that a shoe repair shop likely has a better eye than a shoe salesman in one of our stores. We would prefer our boots be repaired instead of thrown away. We build them with so they can be repaired.

  • If you have a repair shop you are comfortable with, I suggest you continue to use them. We sell replacement parts for our boots to shoe repair shops all over the country. Doing business locally is just fine with us. Thanks for your comments.

  • Hey! I'm really interested in buying a pair of Red Wing boots or chukkas for the winter, but I don't know how they would cope with the rough climate, it reaches -30 celsius sometimes here in Finland, and since they don't have thick lining, how warm are they really? Cheers!

  • Best Shoe Ever....

  • has this video shot with a Canon 7D?

  • As a minnesotan, I am proud of the RedWingShoeCompany

I am also a shoe repair man, for 43 years, 23 in Saint Paul MN

I am a shoe repair shop that is capable of repairing most RedWing shoes.

I am a redwing dealer for resoling...(even the urethane soles (I am qualified to buy then from RedWing.

You can call Redwing for Verification.

  • Amazing

  • very nice, what's the soundtrack ???

  • Sorry to say that we do not repair any shoes other than our own.

  • @RedWingShoeCompany

Can you resole Redwing Supersoles on the 8804 model? If so how would I go about it?

  • can you fully or closely repair air Jordan shoes

  • This is fantastic. Never owned a pair of Red Wings but I'll be picking up a pair this week just because of this video. Keep up the great work!

  • i saw this video a few weeks ago..i had a pair of red wing boots years ago..i was inspired by the craftsmanship that still exists today by this company..i went out last week and purchased the oil tanned brown moc boot and love them...took a bit to break in..but the quality is hands down one of the best in the world! i was proud to support this company again

  • Do you'all repair shoes like Jordans ?

  • How much is for an average pair to repair? Please list the range of repair costs thanks!

  • It's deep. People should be supporting these guys more than some cheap (or expensive) brand name. These are some real shoes.

  • Great to see an American company still standing behind their product and serving the communities they do business in. Old American values!!! Bring it back!!!!

  • @jmedrano2187 yeah but red wing needs to stop making some of them in china and start making them ALL here like they used to. The extra money is well worth the investment.

  • AAAAHHHH

    Detroit is coming at last

  • I really like the brand and their work, I wrote about it in my blog brandsgym(dot)com

  • do you guys do jordans

  • How about sneakers?

  • Can you fix jordans?

  • I've got a pair that are 25 years old and have worked on all 7 continents. They are about due for repair.

  • @2Demolition What style do you wear, and for what kind of work?

  • Awesome film. Awesome company. I own three pairs of Red Wings and they were a great investment.

  • Nice video too bad customer does not reply to emails. Inquired about resoling twice and no replies. So buyer beware don't let the video fool you.

  • @dualoc3 When and to whom did you send emails, dualoc? We certainly want to make sure you can get connected with our repair department. Generally we direct people to bring boots in to a Red Wing Shoe Store to arrange for repair work, but if you'd like to talk to someone directly you can give us a call during business hours at 1-800-733-9464

  • @RedWingShoeCompany I sent two emails within this month, and both were sent to the customer service address listed on Red Wing Shoes' website. I'm outside of the U.S. and I was planning on returning the boots but your quick reply has definitely made me reconsider. I'll try calling customer service as a last resort. Thank you for the quick reply and reassuring my decision of buying a pair of Red Wing Shoes (875E) for the reputable service was the right one.

  • Very nice video

  • Going to buy from Red Wing the next chance I get. Love keeping the craft alive, love being able to keep a favorite pair of shoes alive.

  • Buying Red Wing Shoes. I love the fact I can buy a pair of shoes I love and can keep them forever. =)

  • am all for repair! :D bit.ly / hPo1s2 and here I argue why should every one else too.

  • I bought a pair not so long ago, I'm proud to wear US made boots, and support jobs in America not China.

  • I love the video. Just not sure why people would send in old shoes to get all that work done instead of just buying new ones. How much does it cost to rebuild them vs new?

  • This video is quite inspirational. I wish that everyone would have such strong ideas and passion.

  • I could watch craftsmen working with their hands all day. Super awesome, and I'm glad you guys stick behind your products like this. I know what brand my next pair of boots is going to be!

  • In my country when your shoes get busted for whatever reason, whatever brand - guarantee service is a JOKE. Unbelievable that there are still people like you, even if so far away.

  • not bad

  • Thank you.

  • Who made this video for Red Wing?

  • @nuby3000 We worked with a Minneapolis-based advertising company named Brew Creative and a very talented cameraman. The same crew produced and shot all of the videos in our series.

  • hmmmm I have never heard of people repairing their shoes in America, they usually buy new ones. I wonder how much would it cost to resole a shoe.

  • Wow, i really like the idea, but who repairs shoes these days, less than 1% of the citizens? but sadly we are living in a throw away economy. thanks to US job killing cheap labor from countries like China and cheaply/strategically made products. I think we are on a fast decline and are digging a grave for ourselves. America will rise again once we to go back to a full production country and less of a consuming nation. I miss the days we valued things a lot more and wasted far less.

  • woooow one of the best commercial videos i've seen EVER...

I feel like i need to send a pair of shoes now

  • that was seriously incredible! I don't own any Red Wings yet, but Jake just convinced me where I should get my next pair of shoes from. Great video!

  • A phenomenal piece about true Americana and the spirit that drives U.S. labor.

As the last independent American manufacturer of commercial warewashing equipment, we can relate. We've been in business for over 100 years and continue to strive to exceed our customers' expectations.

That's why we proudly wear Red Wing work boots in our factory.

I hope you'll consider watching our corporate video and join us in celebrating American manufacturing.

    Thank you!

  • wow this is awesome! I can't wait til I wear my boot enough to send it back for a resole!
