I watched the first movie and it pissed me off.

1: Master roshi & Chi Chi are the only people resembling Eastern Heritage.

2: Yamcha's a surfer reject, Bulma looks like a girl I could get head off of from the streets, Goku is NOT remotely like he used to be, and Piccolo is just a bald green guy.

3: It's Kamehameha! Not Kamehame blue flame!

Wanna know why it sucked so bad and was so gay? Start out with no Krillan. Gokus too old when he meets master Roshi and no set up to a World Tournanment. Roshi was the Turtle shell master so his training was in a Rocky Balboa style of power and invunerability, stamina and death moves, not finess and agility. Goku was too small, and then they tried to throw the alien monkey demon in to cheesily lamely and way way too late.
