  • I would LOVE to get to play that organ and, since that IS Detroit, play some vintage MOTOWN on it!!

  • I went with my parents to the FOX back in the 1980's and we saw "WINGS" made in 1928 and the organist played all through the picture. But the main console is in the pit. I don't know the reason for having another console in the balcony. BTW, my dad saw that picture when it was first released in '28 at a downtown theater but it wasn't the FOX.

  • Epic!!!

  • Wow.. the theater organ is truly a one man orchestra. What a beautiful instrument. What a beautiful theater!

  • Wow what a place!!

  • Is this a slave console? I remember hearing this in 1967 when the console was in the orchestra pit. Is Detroit more or less dangerous than 1967? The 67convention closed a week or two before the big riots.

  • @maplewoodsp the console is still in the orchestra pit, this is a slave console!

  • @maplewoodsp Detroit really isn't dangerous so to speak, you just have to be kind of careful, it really depends on what area of the city you are in and what time of day. Other than that, DETROIT ROCKS!!!! :)

  • This guy is good...:-)

  • Ok, I've known Rick for over 25 years, I just didn't recognize him in the video. I Have played at the Fox since, oh, 1975 or so!

  • Who is your teacher?

  • Rick Cucchi is one of my organ teachers. He is the preformer in this video.

  • Pretty good sound on this video. nice.

  • Wooooooo!!!
