I struggled for over 10 yrs. to "WORK OUT" my own salvation until a servant of God in my home church turned down an invitation to minister to clergy, with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, to "take care of things at home for now." She didn't know it but God used her to set me FREE! -When I stopped trying to fix all my junk, and trusted God's grace, God changed my life! It's just like when I was first saved! It's true! I'm free! and God's doing the work as I believe in Him. thanks.
Excellent as always, John! It's funny how Grace is the simplest thing but it takes time to learn to live in it and get to grips with how simple it actually is.(for me at least!) It's just a matter of believing in it and sitting back and letting the changes happen. PS I'll do you a hair swap, if i could just find out where mine keeps sneaking off to! ;))
Thank God someone is actually reading the Bible...self-righteousness is the modern disease that we are trying to manage....
