@4evaAlbanianprincess Ha, I remember when I read the book and then the movie came out. The events are still there BUT they changed it so that the story would flow more rather than show different events in Beowulfs life. Both versions are highly respectable

@carol6133 if you watch the behind the scenes footage on the dvd it's explained why. The voice actor for Beowulf looks nothing like him but he had the voice. They couldn't find anyone who looked anything like they imagined Beowulf would.
