I like your technique in speed punching but you would also need t balance out speed along with power. If you try to defend someone the same size as the body bag you're hitting you'll slightly sting them. I also notice you hold your breath when you punch. Try to breathe out every time you make contact. Since every time you inhale i see you slowly relax your arms and leave your left side open to the opponents right hook. Breathing more often would make your little rest even shorter.
aight thatwould not take u down that would just daze u wich is the point this fast punches i made to daze u not o take u down thts y his hitting in persific parts like the temple and throut im 13 and i do 6 to 7 in a second i have done jkd sins 3 and u ppl tht say jkd is an style ITS NOT A STYLE OF FIGHTING its made to express ur self as an human being not all this intertaining moves this is not an martial art this is a sport tht was made for human physics and intellegents TRAIN EVRY PART OF URB
yeah thats extremely fast, but weak. if u go up against a fighter, and they're in their stance correctly, you won't hit any vulnerable point with those smacks. and while u do ur thing with ur hands, boom, u get one in the face cuz u clearly leave urself completely open when you do this quick stuff.
@JinxTotal he can do 9 strikes in 1 second, the person will be knocked off balance if moving from a stable stance during the interval in which this guy is striking. learn something kid.
@ImOnAnOdyssey but who's gonna be dumb enough to stay on that one spot? only way this "technique" will work is if you sneak up on someone. no1's gonna let you get that close in a real fight. full striking extension n this technique will end. n look at the dummy, it's straight ahead. only an idiot would fight like that. like i said, even with a simple stance against this technique will corrupt it. you have no say so in telling me what to learn. i've been in mma for years.
@JinxTotal The thing is when it comes to these strikes you have to be able to keep all points blocked from his strikes, as well as create an opening. At his speed, even if you were to get out of his striking range, you have no chance as long as the fight remains with fists. You have no choice but to get in close for a punch, and if you're throwing full extension punches you're at a disadvantage, due to the speed of his strikes. Once he steps inside of your range, even 6", you're done.
is there really enough power to take down someone like that myself im a big guys and have had people try and take me down with fast punches but it never took me down im 5"7' and 212 all muscle
@Morlar5 no way in hell those quick smacks can take down a fighter. and im guessin ur a well built guy since ur 5'7, 212. maybe a sting if u got ur shirt off, but nothing more. lol
@Morlar5 There is an extreme amount of power in his strikes, not only because of the speed, but the points in which he strikes. At full concentration, using speed, even a blind punch can be parried. If you were guarding every critical strike point on your body, you would have no chance of escape. Throwing a blind punch is all you could do.
looks like something out of naruto.. until you get hit in tha neck eyes ear or face in general with one of those "whip" like strikes.. those are no joke and EXTREMELY lethal in tha right hands. most styles its 3rd degree black belt before you learn em. AKA "double dragon" "dragon whip" or "dragon snap", very secret cuz they exert NO energy what so ever and they can cut skin =0
everyone out there saying that hes slapping. he isnt his using palm strikes using the heel of the hand. at least thats wat it looks like 2 me. and hes targetting vital points
incredible speed. would be quite effective in a real fight, i guess - if you can keep the opponent busy with the first 4-5 strikes and connect 1 or 2 to the face/neck area, it should decide the fight oO
Victor Marx was our lead instructor in Hawaii. He moved to Colorado Springs a few years ago though. I was good friends with his son Shilo when they were living here. I miss them alot! So are you a former or active Keichu-Do student?
Well, former because after he left i had no formal training. But i rem as a little boy watching brother vic and my older brother spar for hours. My brother was his padawon.lol
now that has ben 10 or 15 yrs ago. but we have continued to express ourselves through many different styles. JKD, Brazilian j/j, Wing Chun, ninjitsu, to name a few. i have ben training now my whole life. here down da bayou. watching you strike reminds me very much of where i started...learning the Crawfish Stance !lol
If you notice I'm striking the vulnerable points like the sternum, solarplex, chest, throat, colarbone, side of the neck, side of the head or temple, chin, raking across the nose, and hitting to the face.
@Maskdefender very fast, and accurate. But what if it was a moving target? it'd be hard to keep up with the speed if your target was pivoting, id like to request a moving target video. maybe pick up some gloves and test it out on a friend or something. thanks.
Speed is effective for generating power. Simple Physics states, acceleration turns mass into power. The velocity of the strikes and weight of my arms and body create a great amount of power. I am able to move a 200 lb stationary practice dummy with these strikes. To an actual human body, speed and accuracy mixed with knowledge of weak points on the body can be deadly.
alot of slapping

If I want to hit this fast, what's the best way to practice?
I've been thinking about starting with a two hit combo first, then gradually add on another strike as I get faster. What did you do?

ohh yeah speed does equal power....
if one of these had to happen to you which would you rather???
a 18 wheeler hit you at 5 mph.
or a baseball at 100?
Power is like size.....an illusion.
bboy2flex 3 years ago
true somewhat.
However, mass does matter significantly, in other words support from behind the attack.
Would you rather have an 18 wheeler or a baseball hit you at 50 MPH?
