@BleedingOphelia Lord Vampyr didn't like TdV's music from Nightbreed of Macabria (he also didn't like the fact that all the band had started composing since that album) He tried to convince them to keep making black metal, but they all wanted gothic metal for TdV so Lord Vampyr left the band.

That's pretty much it... oh well, at least Lord Vampyr has his own band now :P Vampires shall remain krieg and kvlt \m/

None of the members did want to keep Theatres des Vampires Black Metal only Lord Vampyr did. Anyways the fans love Theatres des Vampires now... They have loved them before but over the years more people have gotten to know them. Some of there fans don't like Black Metal... I'm glad they didn't stay Black Metal anyways. How come this song doesn't sound like Black Metal? Sounds more Gothic to me

@PsychoticVampyreGirl Well one of Lord Vampyr's albums is industrial gothic metal xD so i guess he slowly started to like that genre as well.

Scarlet is a great replacement for LV! The only thing I have to complain about the TdV Scarlet era is that they have gone commercial *it's not Sonya's fault!* The music sounds a little too electro for my taste and I feel that her vocals are wasted in this band. But she puts up a great show and I admire her for filling LV's shoes :)

getsat666...I laugh at you. 'Theatres Des Vampires' are nothing like 'Cradle of Sh...Filth'. No voice manipulation, unlike Dani Filth. I've seen the band, pre and post-Lord Vampyr, and they have never copied CoF.

Even as a personal friend of TDV, I doubt I'm biased in my view.
