However wonderful the kids turned out, equating an early term fetus with a "person" is problematic. We would have to go back to "every sperm is sacred" superstition if "potential person" were entitled to special protection.

I have always said education is the best choice. I fully support the bill in Texas that will require an ultrasound to be done before the abortion. The reason is so that the woman/girl will see what they are doing.

I am a firm believer that life begins at conception.

So answer me this, how can someone be charged with double homicide if they kill a pregnant woman, but a doctor does not get charged with murder if he gets paid to end the child's life?

There are small government conservatives who are fiscally conservative in nature and also socially liberal. It requires them to be, otherwise any variants on this would mean they are for bigger government. If you can tame the state and make it do the true democratic bidding of the large majority of the population, the wage working lower and middle classes, you'll achieve great equality. You'll achieve less crime also. Income inequality is the single greatest factor that disintegrates a society.
