Vinnie, is the balance between great technical skills, and most important has the RIGHT attitude, he's a risk-taker. He said himself (with other words, "i go for things, and if i make a mistake, Hey man, at least i went for something!) i repsect him a lot as musician and human being. Me playing style is a mix of many things, but the GROOVE is the most imprtant thing. dont matter how complex you get, be in the pocket.

I have never heard a drummer with more impeccable timing then Vinnie. What you may think is a timing problem, is actually perfect subdivision of notes at different timing intervals. Vinnie is a true master of the drum set.

Your comment is ignorant. What you consider a "timing problem" is, in actuality, a reflection of Vinnie's complete mastery of time -- he has an amazing ability to seemingly bend the rules of time, creating polyrythmic and odd time phrases that most drummers could never even dream of. That's a part of his genius.
