There are also some mysteries that have been left unanswered, that I won't say because it wouldn't be fair to Higurashi starters. I was pissed when someone told me Envy died. -:€

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai

Those are the main seasons.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira

Those two are mostly fan service, and Kira has not been completed yet. So far, in Kira, there are only two episodes.

HIgurashi is one of my absolute favorite animes! :D If you liked it go check out Umineko. It's voiced by the same cast that did Higurashi and just as gory and confusing. XD

A sorta similar but freakin awesome anime is Samurai Champloo... If you haven't seen death note, that one is great as well... d.gray-man the manga has alot of blood... the anime has less but it's still pretty good... But i can't think of anything quite like this anime... there are 2 other seasons of Higurashi though so you could watch them.
