  • @LibraGamesUnlimited I knew his wife's name was Barbara (he, after divorcing her, married a woman named Sarah... Or at least I think so). Their son, James (in The Black Mirror) is a psychopath, who supposedly befriended the Joker during his stay in Arkham. But I didn't know the rest, so thanks!

  • @ilikethecoke In some comics Barbara is Gordon's niece.

  • @MistressEsmeralda Yeah Post Crisis she is his neice and he and his then wife (also named Barbara) adopted her from his brother and his wife. Meanwhile Gordon and his wife had a son but they split up and she leaves town with him. I hear he came back as a troubled bad guy or something. :)

  • LMFAS again 2:24, 3:55-4:20,6:17-7:12

  • The worst thing about this movie is Bane. He was one of Batman's strongest and smartest villians, and look at him here.

  • 5:33 why is Mr.Freeze allowed to keep his his suit on in jail the second time?

  • But i liked this movie :3

  • @Anthraxinternational he can only review movies made before 2000

  • Review Twilight. I double dare ya!

  • This movie ruined Batman and Robin but Arkham Asylum and CIty made it awesome again.

  • @stealthsniper29 Speaking of which, isn't the Barbera in this movie the Oracle in Arkham City?

  • @RpGfreak901 Yes, but with a completely different backstory.

In all the other Batman media she's Commissioner Gordon's daughter, in this movie she's Alfred's niece.

It's weird and stupid that they changed it so dramatically, I know.

  • @RpGfreak901 correct

  • 2:00 soooooo funny!!

  • Sureren, clearly YOU don't know what Batman is supposed to be, and to prove it, you summed it all up in one paragraph. Bob Kane and Bill Finger made Batman to be dark... If you're referring to the Adam West Batman, it was made to be a joke... Or maybe you're just trying to get attention by picking fights...

  • Michael Gough and Pat Hingle probably only stayed in this series because they were the legends. R.I.P.

  • The only good thing is that you can stop watching at any time. Also SUPERCRAPAFUCKARIFICEXPIALABULLSHIT is really catchy.

  • love how he doesn't mention bane

  • Only good part of this movie was Michael Gogh's performance as Alfred. You can't help but like him. Still couldn't save that piece of shit, though.

  • 6:01 me = kid who saw it in theaters when 7 years old. Dad forced me to see it, puked before getting into the theater, and then passed out in the theater about 20 mins in. How's that for divine retribution?

  • that puppet is racist.

  • @nativewizard "that puppet is racist."

Oh really, please explain yourself...Because I see nothing racist about it.

  • @mitrooper it looks asian

  • I DEMAND he make a review of twilight! DEMAND IT!

  • So, Robin's played by Douchey McNitpick?

  • The one thing that makes this movie the worst is that Batman is not the heart of the story, instead it his butler and sidekick.

  • i find the Nostalgia Critic less funny, and more annoying....

  • For what it's worth I thought that freeze's suit and make up effects were awesome, doesn't excuse horrible dialogue/puns.

  • "i want a robin signal in the sky" ahahahaha oh dear lord. who green lighted this POS.

  • You forgot about Bane. Lol

  • I keep coming back here for the "ewewewewewwewwee" robin part at the beginning..... that whining is just priceless,,,,

  • This was the first batman movie I ever saw. I actually don't hate it a lot.

  • and another thing is that Batman shows Mr freeze the clip that Poison ivy killed His wife but the police restored her back in arkham

  • The Critic got this wrong that Posion ivy dint get eaten by the plant she was Taken to arkham assylum with mr freeze "That is a Muck up"

  • I used to think this movie was fucking awesome as a kid. My god have i changed.

  • @Vykkdraygo713 agree

  • glorious review

    old NC is best NC

  • @linkfan160 the phantom if the opera had a WAY better storyline plus people probably would have put effort into it coz gaston leroux book was quite good:)

  • I Would be going bat shit to if i had to review the movie

  • what mask did the critic use for the fake critic

  • What I don't understand is why is THIS movie so god damn awful and Phantom of the Oprea was absolutely TERRIFIC but it's made by the SAME director? How is that possible?

  • @linkfan160 The number of perfectly good musical numbers he ruined by having the actors speak half the lines instead of singing them. Great casting, but I could barely sit through it.

  • @RandallSavage I thought the singing was done pretty well actually. Yeah the plot could have been better but everything else was fairly good. Way better than this.

  • @linkfan160 A wizard did it

  • STILL my favorite of all the NC reviews.

  • INGENIOUS AND VERY FUNNY VIDEO

  • 0.52 at least he has an emotional side towards alfred ...

  • @cheaptoons in other words he cares for his father figure

  • Actually I think the concept of taking the movie back to a sixties vibe is ok, cornyness can be quite amusing. I even liked Arnie as freeze in this. Clooney sort of had his moments but was too wooden. It all falls down because Thurman as Ivy is terrible, Chirs o'donnells character is reduced to whining. Alicia Silverstones character is mroe or less redundant, and the over blown special effects as well as the cliched dialogue is sometimes unbearable, which is actually the main sticking point.

  • I actually enjoyed the movie. The cornyness gives it a funny edge. As for the cure he didn't use it because his wife was in a more advanced stage of the disease which the cure did not affect.

  • What is SPAWN doing in a Batman movie? 5:00

  • I liked this movie growing up...BUT NOW I WANT TO BURN IT AT THE STAKE!!!!!

  • Supercrapafuckarificexpialabullshit ... my new favorite word.

  • @minniemouse213 funny huh? ^_^

  • @minniemouse213 Im sorry but thats just became ''our'' favourite word. But credibility does go to you xD

  • This movie is bad but I don't see the spectacular horridness it's supposed to have, movies like Tank Girl and Steele are far worse than this

  • Uma Thurman was the only thing about this movie I liked.

  • @brothaNblue are u talking bout the show or the movie?

  • @madman101ish The movie of course

  • @stlouisrocker100 good gawd the movie was horrible... somethings shouldn't be put on the silver screen at all

  • @brothaNblue Who didn't?

  • still the movie is better than Twinlight

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N The Village is a better movie then Twilight.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N Barney the Dinosaur is better then Twilight.

  • @ukhistorian what killed that dinosaur? My Lazer!

  • @ukhistorian yeah, at least barney can act and has more than one facial expression

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N

Please. The shit I've taken today had a better plot than twilight.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N you got that right

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N what exactly is twinlight? never heard of it.

  • @kylebiddle An horrible vampire movie.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N you would even call it a vampire movie? that would mean you would put it in one box with a vampire legend like dracula!

  • @SuperCynix Opps what i meant to say is... an horrible ''vampire'' movie.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N

oh come on EVERY MOVIE is better than Twillight

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N OF COURSE!!!!!

  • the song at the end is my my new ringtone

  • it would take a computer genius, im on it

  • 0:04- You can also do that with InuYasha.

  • My favourite bit was the Tom & Jerry sound effects when he tried to escape.

  • wow, I saw this when I was a really little kid and loved it. Guess it was made for just little kids

  • Didn't Alfred raise Bruce after his parents were killed?

  • "Well, of course!" at 3:21 is one of the funniest things ever!

  • Comment removed

  • I just realized after seeing this review that he did a Pulp Fiction reference in a Uma Thurman movie.

  • URGEGHEGBBLUBLUAHGAhbatkTUByhGFGDTBVAGYJ ULGASHTAGAFUFGUKYTYATYARVBGABABGABGABRUATE

  • Hes Dying

    Awkward.

  • So let me get this straight... child porn is illegal... but not this?

  • supercrapofuckerificexpealabullshit XD

  • gotta love how Uma Thurman, the bride from kill bill, a fantastic movie made by Quentin frickin Tarintino, started with this,,,,,, Shi*

  • No words that rhyme with Bullshit? Skit, Spit, Trip, Stupid, etc.

  • @MajickDemoniack He said "Sadly there's not many words that only rhymes with bull-shit" Not that there was none.

  • what's the name of song at 1:01

  • why is Two-Face's suit in the wardrobe at Arkham when he died wearing it in Batman Forever? He was impaled by spikes... Unless he got back up, went to a tailor, had it fixed, donated it to Arkham for that pointless nod to the last film, went back to that sewer, climbed back on to the spikes and died again...

  • @ACira93 well,of course!

  • That ending was awesome.

  • Supercrappafuckarific-expialabullshit!

  • why is Batman smiling when he says that Alfred is dying?

  • o how sick could he be :D...he's dying...awkward :D lol

  • he good at rimes

  • 44 kids killed themselves because they watched batman and robin on cartoon network

  • This review is horse shit this by far the best batman movie i ever saw. It was made the way batman is supposed to be. I'm sick and tired of everyone bashing this movie, you'll don't have fucking clue of what batman really is and if you think this was bad then look at nolan's batman shit that's not batman at all.

  • Comment removed

  • Batman Forever is more or wise what you're looking to say a "real" Batman movie is, or whatever shit that is. The movies/cartoons are supposed to be interpretations of the original work, not a direct adaptation but what Doug says about this movie is right.

This movie does suck. Batman Forever was at least a little funny if not a bit, or extremely cheesy. The villains weren't making you want to kill yourself, etc. This movie has nonsense writing, bad acting, bad effects, etc, that's not Batman.

  • 2:32 Thumbs Up If you though about Tom and Jerry!!! XD

  • R.I.P Michael Gough

  • Dont Blame this film Blame Joel shumacher. and this is what he said.

"If there's anybody watching this, that... let's say, loved Batman Forever, and went into Batman & Robin with great anticipation, if I've disappointed them in any way, then I really want to apologize. Because it wasn't my intention. My intention was just to entertain them."

if Val Kimmer souldve played Batman it wouldve made the diffreance

  • What? No Bane?

  • If she had given him tongue then the lip protection thing wouldn't have worked.

  • This movie is so bad I had to leave the theater not to go postal :-) This is without a doubt the worst movie I have ever seen (Almost seen).

  • @u54w This movie rules bitch

  • Maybe it's because I grew up with the 1960s Batman but I enjoyed both Batman Forever and Robin. Sure, they are no cinema masterpieces but they had potential; it just wasn't used very well. I have never gotten into the newest, darker movies but I did watch Burton Batman when I was a kid although I understood nothing. Yeah, the earlier, silly Batman has really affected my views.

  • @VenusMy129 If you grew up in the sixties you wasn't a kid when tim burton movie came up

  • @tricksterhuaun I meant, when I was a kid, the 1960s Batman was on re-run on television.

  • goddamn this movie goddamnit

  • The sad part about this movie is that it could have been so great. They could have made Freeze a tragic villain, they could have Robin growing into what Batman sees as a younger version of himself, they could have had a dark storyline with poison ivy and badass action. People knock me for liking Batman Forever but to whoever likes this shit, come on!

  • Douchey McNitpick's Voice in 0:04-0:09.

  • 3:55 that was over the top, unnecesary and so... Jim carrey.

  • lol at robin's dialog sample XD...

  • Scott Levy in Batman & Robin as Robin: What about me? What about Robin?

  • I heard a Tom scream when he tried to sneak away.

  • The ending never fails to crack me up.

  • 1:00 how in the fuck can you love someone TOO MUCH? homophobic, mr nostalgia critic? sheeesh. btw I'm gay and offended by that one. ;)

  • @shairaptor All I can say is, wow.

  • CURSES!

  • The Bat-girl is so pretty

  • @yerzh375 would you fuck her?

I'd fuck robin or bat, cos I'm gay!

  • There's maybe one good thing about this movie: Alicia Silverstone.

  • LOL interstate* (damn autocorrect)

  • I loved this movie as a child. It wasn't meant to be serious, in fact, the movie was just plain fun. We had our cool villains(literally), youthful Robin, and serious hero Batman. I can understand how a deticated Batman fan would hate this, but someone like me who doesn't have interstate in superhero comics n stuff it was fantastic. All in all, the movie is a fond memory and I'm glad to see nostalgia critic critique this piece of nostalgia.

  • that was actually a pretty good woody the woodpecker impression

  • Avgn ruuuuuuuulllleeeesssss

  • Alfred was the only good part of Batman and Robin. And to be honest the dialogue they gave him was a bit stupid.

  • @bezerkoid RIP Michael Gough.

  • it's best to forget this entire film and say the originals ended with batsy forever

  • i love how he named so many other things he'd rather do than watch the movie, yet he still watches the movie.

  • @pumishumi He can't talk about something he is ill informed about. that's y he watched the movie.

  • Supercrapafuckorlisticcexpalbullshit of a movie.

  • The movie isnt the worst. the worst movie is

    DISASTER MOVIE

    EPIC MOVIE

    SCARY MOVIE 1 2 and 3

    and meet the spartants.

    THEIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR 6:18

  • @Dim4323 At least those films are parodies, Batman and Robin was supposed to be a serious movie. I mean a Batman credit card? You see this kind of stuff in parodies.

  • That was disappointing, he didn't cover half of the stuff that bothered me about this awful movie. I would go watch it again and write down everything that was bad about it if I didn't have to watch it again to do that. Maybe I'll do it if this comment gets 100 likes, but only then.

  • @jesmurf oh and I of course would publish it too=p not just write it down.

  • heres a film so bad id wather have a guy

  • best fucking decoy

  • unfortunetly this was infact the first batman movie i had ever seen as a kid

  • its better than tiwlight

  • no kid ever saw it? oh I beg to deffer doug, I beg to fucking deffer.

  • when the nostalgia critic says "i dare you to say it i double dare you MOTHERFUCKER" is from pulp fiction and uma therma was in it

  • the song describes me so much lol its great

  • batman what did they do to you :'(

  • Isn't Barbara supposed to be related to Commissioner Gordon (his daughter) and NOT ALFRED!

  • @nicholascooney another reason why it sucks

  • @nicholascooney in the comics, she's commissioner gordon's daughter. they thought that she was too young to be his daughter in the movie, when you think of the actor playing him. so they made her alfred's neice.

  • Comment removed

  • @nicholascooney Yeah, and Bane is supposed to be more than a one-dimensional character, that is just a dumb body guard for poison ivy. In fact he is a actually supposed to be a main villian, and just as smart as batman. Good thing Nolan is fixing what Joel Schumeacher did to the Batman franchise.

  • @nicholascooney yeah in the comics she is. this movie is so far from the comics that its laughable

  • @nicholascooney yeah, but thats Joel Schumacher for you

  • @nicholascooney Shh, you're putting more thought into this than the writers did.

  • @nicholascooney

RAPE OUR CHILDHOODS, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU ALL!

  • I havn't saw this in years, but i remember Alfred and Freeze's wife had the same conditon, but Freezes wife was in a more advanced form, while Alfred was in the first form. That's why Freeze couldn't cure his wife.

  • @nicholascooney Yup, atleast according to the comics and pretty much all the Batman cartoons with her.

  • @nicholascooney well...they gave batman a bat credit card...if they got that fact right then i would be dead surprise

  • best batman and robin review ever

  • For a superhero based entirely on fear, I like the older ones and Nolan's remakes, but this one centred like a crevasse of failure.

  • throughout the 90s we where all in the Batman.

also that mask wrestler you where saying IS BANE ask that I AM A MAN guys to give you depth of Batman
