im like phllip hilm :( in ciritcal situations i try to buy the pot buy bluffing and lose all my chips sometimes.

sometimes when im bluffing or semi bluffing im in lead but what the opponent misses what he/she was chasing(flush/straight) they'd miss but they'd accidentally hit a pair and beat me by better pair.

that happens a lot of the times. :(

This is a great video amateurs can learn from. KQo is raised utg and Scotty calls 99 from the SB. A board of 10-5-5 is a GREAT flop for 99, but you should definitely check here in the case that Hilm did have an overpair and you would get re raised if you bet. Check calling is smart because Hilm is Cbetting that board 95% of the time with any two cards. When Scotty check calls flop, guy should KNOW he has a pair. Hilm betting the turn is stupid as he knows he is crushed.

But after Scotty called the C-bet on a 5-5-10 flop his most likely holdings are pairs from 66-99, a ten with a medium to strong kicker or maybe even a 5 like an ace 5 suited and obviously no draws. And the 9d definitely doesn't hurt Scotty's range except a few pairs weaker than 99. So Hilm has to know that if Scotty was good on the flop the situation didn't really change on the turn. Hilm does not have much fold-equity in this spot so he should rather give up.
