  • i hope toybiz makes marvel legends again

  • damn the universe figs look better than the hasbro legends

  • Hasbro and Toy Biz are both good legend makers.

  • I also hope that marvel legends doesn't die out

  • Hasbro makes great prototypes but never sell em but if they did they have a lot more money to make better figs

  • why do you always say um

  • i personally think hasbro has better sculpts. if you go and look at high def pictures. hasbro clearly has better sculpts.. however.. toybiz most certainly had better paint applications. that being said. people fall for the illusion of toybiz's paint apps and seem to think the sculpts are better.. but they really arent. and i hate hasbro..

  • @skrapps914 Hasbro is good. I like the universe figs but I can't wait for the legends wave.

  • I just disagree so much with your overall portrayal of facts. Toybiz used a TON of the same bodies: Black Widow, Invisible woman? Check. Spider-Woman and Wasp? Check. Wonderman (2 versions), Sentry (2 versions), Captain Britain, Black Panther, Captain America (3 different times)... check. Bullseye, Moon Knight? Check.

No, whining and bitching isn't the answer. Learn to look at things from the full perspective.

  • I have to agree with you man your right

  • hey man nice video I like your videos and I understand you you are a great video maker

  • I agree ToyBiz was awesome. When Hasbro bought the toy division of Marvel they also killed the LOTR line.

  • I hate it when people say well hasbro makes characters that ML didnt. So what? If the character was cool and popular, then who cares. ML had size and good sculpting, not to mention were more more sturdy and could be played with by children like they were meant to be. The Hasbro line are smaller, much more flimsy and rediculously more expensive than its predecessor. Hasbro is also incredibly guilty of using the same molds for different chatacters. Hasbro sucks. Worst transition ever made.

  • i loved the marvel legends show down figures if hasbro hadn't bought marvels toy division there could have been a dead pool or night crawler now the only way for me to get them is on the internet

  • Yea hasbro sucks but I think Toybiz made almost every popular character already anyways so who cares, the entire toybiz collection wuld already be a complete collection to me.

  • your teeth are so white o-o

  • this is you sucking cock like you do miss piggy

  • toy biz champions

  • 1 thing i hate about hasbro's ML is that all their figures are freakin Stiff as hell.

  • the only bad part about the toybiz versions is there hard to get while hasbro usually has them on sale

  • I love the boos when you said Hasbro.

  • @ggarcia84 i agree with that

  • Well, Hasbro is coming back with some great figs. I'm loving this Variant Deadpool.

  • i saw some biased in this

You complained about yellow jacket only being slightly deferent from the other 2 just with wings on his shoulder

then you say Sentry from toybiz has a belt.....they both only have 1 thing new to them.

    still toybiz>hasbro

  • If Viacom bought Marvel, it would have been real Competition, since Time Warner owns DC and Viacom and Time Warner are rivals and Marvel and DC could be rivals.

  • Too much f@& umm

  • I think the biggest issue with hasbro is the lack of a wash. Their sculpts are pretty decent but they need a wash to bring out the detail. Compare their yellow/blue wolverine which was a repaint of a toy biz mold used for their brown and tan wolverine. Same mold, but the washes really make gaijin wolverine look amazing, whereas classic wolvie looks like cheap crap =/

  • Toy Biz compared to Hasbro. Look at figures like Hous of M Hulk, Legends Deadpool, Legends Juggernaut, Series 1 Hulk, Series 1 Iron Man, BAF Apocalypse, BAF Galactus, BAF Onslaught, Howard the PIMP'n Duck, Legends Silver Surfer, Hulk classics line, Spidey classics line, X-Men Classics, and I could go on. All Hasbro's got for me is Plaet Hulk, King Hulk, Red Hulk, and that is about it.

  • @GODZILLAANDSOUNDWAVE I would have listed face off instead of serise 1 hulk that figure was just meh same with the ironman (which i am iffy on)

  • @amartinez97 You're right, I can't believe I forgot that one! It's my favorite Marvel figure of all time, too!

  • Hasbro is gay i am new at collecting marvel and i dont like Hasbro

  • why does he have a hunch back?

  • anybody thats making fun of SENTRY is a total dick especially with the um shit i mean c'mon it's getting old you don't have to post it in a fucking comment

  • your colossus is so rip man

    I have that cyclops

    do you have an angel??

  • you make it sound like hasbro isnt trying you know what if we keep complaining there gonna stop makeing these marvel legends and also its black suited spiderman there should be not that much detail exept for the face and paint application they do care to make marvel legends and sure they are legends and they should be detailed but common their trying your just asking for to much to a company that dosent spesalize in marvel superheros so common guys give them a break

  • toy biz ! toy biz!

  • the...um...toy biz toys were...um...so great and...um...they even came...um...with...um...a comic...um...book, so...um...obviously we all know who is best.........UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

  • I think the straps on cap's sheild is to allow him to wear it on his back. I like your analysis and agree with you I would also go off about avalability which is a problem in various regional areas.

  • dude maybe u can help me with something

  • dude i might do halo 1,2,3 and maybe reach figure reviews so message me

  • hasbro makes piece of shit toys i love the toybiz figures it's very rare i want a hasbro figure since they look shity and ugly

  • good vid,,,,but i hate youtubes new look .....wish i had all those. i love deadpool!!!!!!

  • Toy Biz is to awesome. The only figure I really want from the Hasbro Marvel Legends line is the Blob BAF.

  • What about World war hulk and extremis ironman? COME ON dude how are you evne going to go without the world war hulk? HULK SMASH PUNY JACOB!

  • World War Hulk/Planet Hulk is a good figure. The Blob BAF is just the one I want the most.

  • My marvel legends collecting ended when toybiz was bought. I loved the real marvel legends and toybiz's lotr figures.

  • toybiz is better

  • the best marvel legends figure from hasbro is the world war hulk figure which can compair with toybiz figures like the JUGGERNAUT (refrence to ther battle in world war hulk x-men)

  • um stop saying um, you sound retarded um

  • uh okay uh im sorry bout that uh yeah

  • @SENTRYproductions dude what the hell do you care what they make you already have every character from toybiz marvel legends so be happy about that. You already have everyone important what more can u ask for !?

  • i refuse to collect hasbro figures all i want is toybiz. ilove how tb give you the power grids, the details, and the comics that come with the figures.

  • toybiz is way better

  • i like toy biz alot but with hasbro there easier stuff to get like i have a quicksilver hes green and you can buy them now but toy biz u have to buy online

  • toybiz created legends, all hasbro does, is spin off cheap immitations ....all hasbro cares about is their bread and butter, what they have been banking on....such as, star trek, trans4mers, gi-joe, trans4mers ect.ect. and i've even seen some star wars toys made by hasbro ....we want legends, not garbage!!!!

  • nothing hasbro has done even comes close to what toybiz has done, toybiz took figures to another level, hasbro isin't willing 2 work that hard 2 please the customer, all they care about is turning profit.......after all, why would they care about perfecting legends when they have gi joe and trans4mers and other sucessful toy lines flying off shelves.....and what getts me is, even though collectors complain about the quality, they still purchase the hasbro figures anyway....

  • fuck hasbro go toybiz. toybiz cares for marvel legends hasbro doesn't cause hasbro sucks balls they can't do a thing right

  • Yeah, Spiderman Classics was so killed by Marvel Legends that it ran for around 20 waves and didn't actually end until Marvel sold the toy license in 2006 -_- Plus the whole thing is a bad comparison. The Toy Biz legends had significant recycling as well and many Toy Biz legends also looked terrible. Hell, almost all of the Toy Biz females looked like garbage. And part of the problem with Hasbro is that they don't bother tackling figures like Nightcrawler who would have different sculpts.

  • Hasbro's Marvel Legends line sucks!! The scale is waaay off!

  • wow! i thought i was the only one who felt this way about hasbro, they suck. in my nothing of a collection the only hasbro i have is hercules because i like herc. the rest is toybiz.

  • To sum it up the Hasbro legends are half a@@ed compared to Toybiz. There are very few figures I'm willing to shell out money for. The reuse to the same body molds, the lack of articulation and the lack of paint apps.

  • has somebody ever noticed that hasbro uses the same body molds as toybiz did? for example: the ronan series silver surfer is just the ss from the marvel icons. the skrull in twin pack series 2 is just the same one from the fantastic 4 classic lines just with other paint on the hands... I hated what they were doing, but now they're fortunately doin better =D

  • i just think its a shame that marvel legends is failing coz of Hasbro

  • i like both of them. i think there both equally good

  • Hasbro is famous for repaints.

  • its sad to see that after this hasbro is doing even worse

i mean now those 6 inch detailed marvel figures that we love and hoped that hasbro would make arent gonna be made anymore

now its those tiny figs just to fit with the

    gi joe and star wars

    toybiz we need u

  • i really don't mind Hasbro articulation wise . but yes toy biz wins in detail .....Hasbro is doing one thing right there making a deadpool he better not suck cause i don't wanna pay 60 dollars for deadpool .. so don't fuck up ! knowing Hasbro they will ...

  • The only good toys that Hasbro can make: Transformers, G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, Mr Potato Head. (if I like even one of them)

  • I never depend on Hasbro on making toys anymore, just Neca, Sideshow and Mcfarlane since Toybiz is dead now.

  • one thing i also liked about toybiz is even if they did reuse body molds like with series 1 iron man, war machine they are greatly madified so you could barly tell

  • and hasbro is to blame as well as marvel for letting them do this to their characters

  • i agree. most of us who still bother with this line buy them because we love marvel and marvel legends and would rather have some figures than none, but most of us buy them and think toybiz should come back. i noticed that hasbro is using the same articulation points they use on their star wars and gijoe figures on ML and its giving the figures limited movement and awkward pose-ability. what they should have done is made joes and star wars figs in 6inch with toybiz articulation ML is dying

  • Comment removed

  • dude its marvel legends its big so of course it will have better details and articulation the 4 inch figures as detailed as they can be. I MEAN THERE 4 INCHES

  • yet the ironman 2 figures hae better detail then the first movei figures and hte firts movie figures wer twice there size -_-

  • have the second movie figures come out yet

  • FUCK YOU HASBRO....

    I HATE YOU GUYS

  • I have ultimate Capt. America with the brown boots & gloves.. Its one of my favorites.

Also Marvel Legends Ghost Rider with open close mouth.

I hated my Beta Ray Bill figure, his arm keeps coming off...

  • I totally agree, I love toybiz...

Hasbro is so lazy in detail... and they make their toys as crappy and as fast as they can for a quick buck.

  • even though hasbro marvel legends aren't nearly as good as the toybiz ones, you have to admit they did a good job with the new marvel universe line

  • they did do a good job but the only probglem is that they are 3 1/2 inches it would be nice to see them at the 6 inch scale

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder what would have happened if toybiz still had 'legends today? Maybe we'd have figures like kingpin, that hasbro would never make.

  • toybiz did make a kingpin in the marvel legends face off line

  • what? disney is taking over?are you fucking kidding me?disney is for babies! its like seeing monkeys using tools for the first time!

  • hasbro need make our money's worth :D

  • Yeah, another thing with the Ultimate iron Man and warMachine is they didn't even get WM's fuckin mask right. His mask was not designed to come off but it does. Check it out. Funny actually

  • where did you get puck

  • I agree partially! Hasbro has made a few good figures and alot of shitty ones too. I'm just glad I started collecting from the beginning and do have all of the greats and a basis for comparison. Nice review

  • Why do people keep bitching about Hasbro vs ToyBiz while Disney's takng over. Soon enough it might be in Disney's toy companies who will make Marvel Legends. And trust me, Disney's a bitch when it comes to toys.

1st off I saw a Cars Truck for 20 bucks. (Not even ten inches long.) When I read the whole package Car not included. so they want you to pay 20 bucks for a dumb piece of plastic that doesn't even come with the car.

  • Falcon is also a re-mold of Sentry's body. but everything you say is true

  • close but its no a remold sentrys a completely different mold

  • oh. well i almost bought it one day, and i quickly glanced that it had that gritty feeling on the body. its hard to explain, but its that distinct feature of sentry and black panther.

  • @Sto0pidPenguinPro

Falcon is a remold of the Ironfist body.

Sentry is a remold of the Black Panther, so is Wonderman and LCBH Ripclaw.

  • yeah I've felt that way about the Hasbro lines, but what hasbro does is look at cost efficiency when producing the toys. It's cheaper to re-use molds and do viewer paint apps. Yeah, it lowers the quality, but this has been Hasbro's bread and butter for years, even as far back as the original Transformers line. Toybiz was guilty of re-using molds too, but it wasn't as blatant. All and all, I agree with your assessment. Unfortunately, it appears the line is all but dead. Thanks Hasbro.

  • last part cool post look like a poster

  • habro sucks! I prefer toy biz

  • Holy shit i love modox

  • i want that face off cap america soo bad

    Nice vid

    Go toybiz

  • remember when every 4 months, collectors got anxious over each new toybiz series to come out. those were the good old days.

I can recall wondering at night days before their release, how those figures would look like, like Gambit, Juggernaut, the BAF Sentinel, Storm, Bishop etc. Texture and sculpture were really awesome.

hasbro though did some highly anticipated characters like the 2 pack Domino and Cannonball, the BAF Blob and and the Savage Land Box Set.

    But Toybiz;s were really awesome.

  • If Toybiz wasn't bought out in the first place the BAF's in Hasbro will be in a reguLAR SERIES with bases and stuff that comes with the old marvel legends.. i was a bit disappointed on the red hulk because it's not a very accurate size i think others might get the Marvel Select ones...but i like the figures in the series except for the black wolverine..and hasbro is a very unfair company because of the fan choice that turned into F$#%in 2-packs so F*** Hasbro

  • toybiz threw 10 bad figures out of their over all, hasbro thew ten good figures out of their overall and theuy could care less

  • he says ummmmmmmmmmm alot

  • he says ummmmmm eight times in 33 seconds

  • which hasbro series is that black Spiderman from?

  • Red Hulk series,its a target exclusive

  • thanks, but too bad i dont live in America

  • neither do I LOL

  • i wish hasbro could see this

  • Agree a 100% and you got more for your money a comic and display stand that came with toybiz-7.99 compared to hasbros 11.99-13.99.

  • whoa those puck and firestar customs (in the last pic) were awesome!!!

  • how did you find it out did hasbro reatatch their balls and announce it

  • amen

  • preach on SENTRY! can i get a amen! totally agreed.

  • Oh, and the sculpts are fine on these products, but the paint applications are SO poor that they completely bog down that sculpt underneath.

Want proof? Look for a guy named "Raydaimon" and look at his repaints of X3 Wolverine, X3 Jean Grey, Hasbro Absorbing Man, and more. You'll wonder why the hell they can do so well in one area and so poorly in another.

  • yep

  • What a bullshit retraction of your last comment, Jedi.

They may be just "toys" but it's still bullshit that anyone that may COLLECT them has to settle for a subpar product with less than adequate paint and a huge drop in articulation.

Last I knew, it wasn't tons of parents and their children getting these items. It really was a lot of collectors buying them, so that's why there's so many expectations. Toybiz nailed it.

I've seen both parents and collectors buying Marvel Universe though.

  • hasbro makes toys 4 kids man, really toys don't have problems, they are just toys 4 playing

no offense but they're just toys

  • no offense but you can shove your comment up your ass.....I FUCKING HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE JUST TOYS........NOT TO ME

  • im just kidding dude,i like marvel legends to and im a huge fan of yours

  • no,they`re not JUST toys, sure,im a kid but i still think its more then JUST a toy,i love collecting Marvel Legends and if you collected something, how wood you like it if it died out?

  • i dont know if your talking about me but i DO collect these figures dont tell me what i know

  • no i was talking to jedimasters reply saying they`re just toys......dont worry man

  • wow,i never thought of it that way,i like marvel to, but i don't collect it

but i get what your saying

  • Great comparison. You did a nice job breaking it down. I feel like we are in a no win situation cause if we stop buying, Marvel Legends is over, but as long as we do buy, Hasbro thinks they can just keep putting out inferior product. UGGHH!!

  • Hasbro just owns the rights to make figures... and besides... Toybiz is dead.

  • Hasbro, get off your ass and sell the company back to toybiz

  • Oh, and one last thing... someone can mention both Legendary Riders Logan reusing the same body with an X-Men Classics Wolverine, and Weapon X from series 7... but every one of those figures has such a different amount of detailing on them that it is hard to either hate them or even look at them the same way as the others.

Every one of them has a seperate head, and one figure even has two. The body has different details on all of them, and there's even different parts. THAT's how to re-use!

  • Toybiz re-used that body for the two Age of Apocalypse Weapon-X figures, but most of the other details are way different. Head sculpts and hands are a few right off of the top of my head.

Remolding and repainting the whole Marvel Legends 6 figure, including the head three or even four times now is just fucking lazy on Hasbros part. At least do a new face sculpt or something.

Also, I can see that Ultimate Fury/Punisher body being reused big time too in the future... same with Furys jacket.

  • My main issue is that they are constantly reusing that body. If done right, it could be great. Add a belt, or add something to it like they did with Sunfire or Forge or even Yellowjacket.

Another thing that annoys me is the epic re-use of Marvel Legends 6 Wolverine mold. I'm one of the few that loves Wolverine figures. The more, the better for me. Just stop using that fucking body so much.

  • The surprising part is that the Bullseye body actually worked for that Black Spider-Man, in my opinion. Everything about that figure, except the feet not having tilts, clicked for me. Even the hands. On the other hand, using it on Nova... and Yellowjacket... and Quicksilver... and Forge... and Sunfire... and Union Jack... and I can go on and on... Re-use gets awfully annoying after a while. I liked it on Sunfire and Spider-Man, but that's about it. I'll even let Forge slide.

  • agreed!!!

  • nice video but i don't see what is so bad about having the same body scalp but i do agree the quality of the toy biz figures are way better

  • toybiz all dhee way

  • greatest fucken comparison video of the two lines ever evrything u said was a 100% of what i thaught as well although that hasbro spiderman had not alot of articulation i do think that it is the best blk costume spiderman that was ever made peace out bro

  • i recommend buying marvle uinverse figures is u want quality from hasbro

  • did u see the deadpool hasbro is made it is so awesome new scuplt and every thing they did make like new havoc and bibeast and stuff but they are copied molds 2 the wolverine is jsut painted diffrent it is x force but it is still cool

  • nice vid idea keep it up

  • The good thing about simular or exact body molds is that you can custom make team memberst that are obviously missing from everyone's displays. Lets say if you wanted other x-force members so on and so forth. Or do customs for other comics. Five stars to sentry for providing inspiration.

  • Don't wanna put you on blast, but I have a few issues with this video:

    1. Re-used bodies. What's to stop you from just finding the three Hasbro Legends that share bodies and putting them on your comparison shelf, but not doing the same with the Toybiz side? And you said that there are different add ons for each figure on Toy Biz's part that uses the same body, but we can clearly see that Union Jack has a belt and two accessories.

    Cont'd in my next comment

  • 1. (con'd) Not to mention Union Jack has two hands to hold his weapons and Yellowjacket has weapon a fist and two chest dealies

    2. Hasbro is a toy company. They don't make collectibles for the most part. Toy Biz was a collectible company as you can tell from the detail and packaging.

    3. Lastly, I think you should have compared one company's interpretation of a figure with another. Like a Toy Biz Thing to a Hasbro Thing (Just an example)

  • I completly agree on EVERYTHING you said.

  • nice vid, but instead of comparing toy biz face off Captain America to Hasbros Dark Spiderman, you should've compared the best figure of 1 character made by toy biz and then compare to the same, best character made by Hasbro

  • thats exactly what i did the spiderman is my favorite hasbro

  • Hey man I'm going to need to make a video response to this! I agree with everything you said!

  • on the last pic with everyone looking up if u pay attention to gambits face hes like i aint lookin tht way

  • Hasbro needs to fix there figures but the toybiz figures still kicks ass!!

  • RIP toybiz, their marvel legends were the best toy line ever, i also loved the work they did on spiderman 2 figures, i still have my sppiderman and he's fucking awesome

  • damn i wish i had a face off cap

  • Ahhh damn hasbro.. Bad time for me to start collecting legends I suppose. But there's always buying the old ones on the internet... Well and comic shops that have the old ones.

  • Hasbro has some good runs, but really it dosent matter, cuz everyone that buys them, kept buying them, if they didnt like hasbro figures, then we shouldnt have bought them, collect new things, but by doing so, either hasbro would have gotten better, or they would have stopped Marvel legends all together.

  • my problem is if people had such a hard time with hasbro then why did they continue to buy them? I look at everyone's collection and I see hasbro stuff. toybiz made some crappy figures as well so it goes both ways. Hasbro is not the best but they gave us characters you would only know about in comics

  • just wanted to give my opinion

  • yay

  • true dat about the iron man...man

  • at the end when you said hasbro has star wars transformers and stuff like that i was thinking that this is like the great depression for marvel legends

  • great vid

  • Hasbro isn't that bad man.

  • hey sentry awesome video. I have kinda a unrelated question though that picture at the very end of the video theres a Firestar right in the middle of all the toybiz figures do you know anything about it?

  • if your a real fan of hasbro just stick to buying hasbro products and the same goes to toybiz fans. im my opinion i hate hasbro because that company seems to me that they never finish their products , its like they just add something and say that looks good to them. but its been years they will never be like toybiz ok i just by hasbro transformers thats it but with ml i buy them from toybiz. all im am trying to say is that hasbro you suck big time in making figures

  • I HATE U! sorry T-T its just so hard to think toybiz is long gone... T-T

  • If we keep whining, keep bitching AND keep buying, won't do anything.

  • sorry to be an ass hole but there were more thean 15 sereis from Ml. from toybiz. with the giantman sereis sorry and I agree hasbro doesn't give two shits about marvel legends.

  • wow, if u think that black spidey is bad, your fuckin retarded.

  • fuck you shut your dumb mouth

  • dude thats just how i talk to my friends, did not know you disliked tougher talk

    meh bad, meh bad

  • thats not tougher talk thats disrespect

  • disrespect? your like 18. Me and my friends call eachother assholes and shitheads. I doubt were disrespecting eachother lol.
