Alan you are awesome...I've really missed you and your videos. I haven't been around for a while to watch them or post videos myself...my dad had a heat attack at the beginning of the year and I spent most of my time holding his hand while he slowly died. It's been a month since he made his way to heaven.
This video was worth waiting for. I have to favorite it. You are such an inspiration.
it was a nice insight into some of your history. would be very great to have the chance to talk to your past. I find it really strange that the internet hasnt been around too long, i thought about this when you mentioned you not knowing about it. its a weird thought, alan without the internet
I think this kind of video would only be fun if your future turned out to be happy. For example, if I told my 13 year old self (as I'm 23 now) what happens in 3 years I would definately make myself cry.
I wish I ould make a video like this... maybein a few yeas when I'll actually have a younger self who needs advice... right now I'm only 14, and I don't really have anything to say to my 7-year-old or 6-year-old self ^^
New York has everything to do with it because the cut off date in attending schools differs from state-county-and school district and in New York state (unless you were held back) you start freshman year at age 14.
On my original comment I was misunderstood what he said and I thought he *started* freshman year at age 15 and I'm sorry about that but you didn't have to fight me on it >_> lol
I'm eighteen and I really wish I could watch a video from my future self to see how life turns out. Because as of right now I have no idea what will become of me.
this reminds me of the song by brad paisley called letter to me "each and everytime u have a fight, just pretend ur wrong and dad [mom] is right" good song check it out
I know, I didn't get a computer until I turned 18! Never touched one before that. Probably why I turned out as well-adjusted and normal as I have. *eyeroll*

Also, the music thing sucks, I know how you feel. Though I can't play the guitar/any musical instrument more complicated that the recorder, and I can't write lyrics, and I can't sing. But I want to! Blargh.
