I don't know about Australia, but Germany censors to ensure that German youth is never going to be bloodthirsty again. Wheter it's games with controversial moral, patriotism or simply gore -the German gov manages to fuck those games up for us. COD WAW didn't even have the Nazi Zombie Mode, which is pretty much everything that makes this game okay. Making fun about Nazis (Nazi Zombies are ridiculously awesome) just screws up the collective guilt we're tought to carry with us.

I agree with you on protecting the kids, but the weird or funny thing (if you want it that way) is that even the German censored L4D(2) -version is rated 18+, so actually -in my eyes- it is pure communist-stlye censorship and I find it totally intolerable since Germany is part of the EU and I don't get why all my French, English, Polish (and so on) adult neighbours are able to play uncut, while I'm being left 4 dead with these gameplay-ruining cuts :D
