  • There's the why. These glyphs with correlations to ancient Phonecian and Egyptian heiroglyphics - and supposing there are Australian mammal bones in Egyptian tombs, and Inca-like platforms elsewhere in Australia - it still doesn't explain why anyone - in ancient times - would carve this stuff on non-derscript, unfashioned rock in the middle of nowhere, with barely enough room to turn around and climb the other way. They might have seen fit to do it, but I'll be buggered if I know why.

  • Gympie Pyramid~ Legend of the so called "Gympie pyramid" great vid mate. will subscribe.please check my video out and rate. it's a mini doco on the gympie pyramid. hope you like peace~check my channel and see the link :)

  • spun-out ! could of been done back in the 1960's by some hippy dude living out there ?

  • @spellgrounds thats very close to the truth

  • I still maintain it was the Tascott smelly man that put those carvings there.

  • they found a phoniecian tamarind in the swan river perth,to sa y the acients never travelled here and done stuff has doubt, a sixtenn year old girl just sailed around the world alone

  • at 6:05 it looks like a ufo on the wall

  • I have visited these myself, someone has gone to a lot of trouble and they seem quite well done.

  • check out gympie queensland if you don,t believe ancient civilizations were

    here in oz.

to dismiss knowledge without unbiased investigation is the hight of ignoance.

we forget the simple fact that there was no original white man in any country before it was brought under the crown, so? australia is just a later version of america. there are red crosses on white flags carried by a white man in aboriginal cave drawings all over the kimberly,s N/T. years before 1770

    you guess who behind it...

  • hey i live in gosford....i gonna chk it out

  • i know that an old mental bloke got caught doin these but it doesnt mean they are all fake. y wuld he only write down a couple of cartouches that make sense and make the rest all jibberish my theory is he found the ones that made sense and went over them coz otherwise we wuld barely see them and then just started making all the rest on his own. Y if he knew how to write hieroglyphs properly did he only do some correctly answer he found them then added to the real acnient egyptians glyphs

  • Doubts its the only word you assholes can suy isent it its very true when they say they EAT there OWN. Cant you Morons comprehend that these ancient race could travel the Seas exploring other lands just like we do shit if they can builf a fuking great pryamid i dont think they would have any hassel in building a god damn boat big enough to travel here, wake up fuk face and smell the coffee.....fuking idiots.

  • shit! i left my bong there! Just think, 2,000 years later, people are gonna think egyptians were stoners.

  • why do you believe that is the only reason they would have been there?

  • I've had a website up on this for over 10 years now. members ozemail com au /~classblu/egypt/egypt htm now believed to have been carved by an elderly yugoslav gent with 'issues' in the early 80's. Unfortunately these glyphs are accepted as fakes for a number of other really good reasons as well.

  • If you research the evidence

You would discover that around 2,000 years ago

several ancient civilizations were able to cross the oceans and visit faraway lands

  • i smoke weed there all the time.

  • Well they didn't exactly travel there, they were shipwrecked and unable to leave

  • If the Egyptians could build pyramids they should have been able to travel the earth. Possibly Egyptian culture was spread out over the whole earth, what do we know ? What we see in the vid may have been part of a cultural center, perhaps a pyramid that was later destroyed, it´s hard to get an idea from this clip.

  • you joker trying to call this medu neter on some randum rocks you wanna see how we do it go to Nubia go to Kemit and stop this foolishness we no better

  • get national geographic or the discovery channel you fuckheads

    instead of this wannabe mug

  • more caucasion creations. it was said that aboriginies may not have been the first, before.

  • Comment removed

  • if the guy would steady the camera

  • Just copy and paste the heading and you'll get more

  • hi, could you send me a map or some sort of instructions on how to get there as well? Im from the area and would love to see them!!

  • i am organizing a tour to go to see this site if any are interested please call dennis on 0433546811, i will take 6 people at once

  • these glyphs were discovered in the early 1800's by a farmer So how could a NPWS officer have found a mental italian doing it ask Rex Gilroy and Brett Green, dont be naive people aboriginals are foreighners too! look up the Bradshaw paintings, Austrralia isnt as hard to locate as the brittish want you to believe, your mind is like a parashute, only works when its opened.

  • yes can u pm me a map to get to see this please kind sir.. i'm local. thanks....!!!!!!

  • Any idea about a translation?

  • can you give me information where it is and how to get there. i would really like to see it for myself.

    thank you

  • I have sent you a link with the map to the place!

  • thank you

  • very doubtful they are egyption sorta resembles aztec or myan and they look to modern made kids tagged the area

  • The Hieroglyphics are not ancient! It could be argued that the glyphs are graffiti by and unstable personality. Go ask the NPWS officer who caught the guy carving them. Perhaps the natural environment is what should have been protected?

  • yep, sadly this has been proven over and over to be fake. They were done by an old Italian immigrant that was well known for mental problems.

  • Wow, that isn't true at all

  • Visited this site very recently. Not happy to see it on Youtube as it is very special and needs to be protected. I have been told it is also very close to an aboriginal sacred site. There are land sale signs all around in the bush so the developers are into the area.

  • Are you local i want to find this part of the park and see for myself.

  • They were carved by a yugoslavian man who was caught in the act in 1984. He did it with a sidchrome chisel

  • alieans

  • i went there once...and i went into the "tomb" ....it was filled with sand so i dug down about 2 metres but came across nothing...if i had more time i might have kept digging but it got dark and i got scared..haha.

i also saw a big brown snake on the rocks...so it was time to go i think.

  • I live in gosford. I have never heard of these Gosford Hieroglyphics.

Can U tell me exactly where they are?

I would like to have a look myself.

    Thanx..H

  • thanks man for the reply will you do me a favor measure the depthness of any one of the etchings I would like to see if I can tell how old this may be, "weather" parts of wind, and rain along with moisture should have destroyed much of these if you have the time dude.. thank you from Texas (united states of America)

  • let's take into account that there has been a culture before the aboriganese(ssw)who were they?

and also in ancient Egyptian there is no right time period almost everything is approximate and if you notice that 27 seconds into this video you have an entrance that caved in on itself let's take out the rocks and look inside this TEMPLE this is an obvious holy site think about it...

  • Yes there is some sort of tomb/hole in the ground. When I went there with some friends about 3-4 years ago, some of them climbed down into the hole, but there was nothing but bugs down there. I think they were too scared to take a more thorough look at it though.

I might have to head over there again sometime and check it out.

  • Considering that the graffiti is carved in sandstone, 4500 year carvings would have long eroded away. A more plausible theory suggests that two soldiers from the 11th Battalion returned from WW1 after serving in Egypt and decided it to be a good prank to carve meaningless graffiti into these rocks.

  • the problem is they are not carved in sandstone. they are carved in granite.... much harder. it is believed there was 3 places they colonised. one in north queensland,1 in sunchine coast and one in gosford area over a period of 1000 years.the site at gympie has shown many details of their ancient cultures and religion proven correct.unless soldiers could read heiroglyphs how would they know what they are writing? and this place is a fair hike from any current civilisation. to many unanswered Q's

  • One of the aspects we need to consider is that Old Kingdom Egyptian culture was not a seafaring culture. The reason why I say this is that in one of the alleged cartouches there is reference to the 4th dynasty pharaoh Khufu (2589 -- 2566BC). The rest of the graffiti is unorganised, meaningless and includes symbols like 'stick figures' which has no relevance to Old Kingdom literature (or any) ... (continued)

  • I've also heard that they were done by a property owner who went crazy or somethin'.

Been there a few times - pretty cool nonetheless.

  • Lived here all my life and those are fake carvings done by the old property owner in the 1920's , I will post some clearer pics as a response shortly

  • ohhh that is possible *S*

  • These should be photographed with a high-resolution digital still camera, ON A TRIPOD, so they can be studied by experts. Also detailed line drawings should be made of the glyphs along with their relatioship to the rocks they are on, which might yield more data.

  • I have been there about 7 years ago my dad took me :)

  • omfg every1 who has actually believed this r retarded.... there was no egyptians in australia, indigenous people did not speak in hieroglyphs and everyone who believed in this is dumber for watching it as someone has just put it up there... stupid idiots

  • What a charming person you are! It's good to see that you have an open mind. I am the idiot you speak of who put this up here. I actually took the time to study the glyphs before debunking them as fakes. As for Egyptians never visiting Aus, explain the presence of Eucalyptus oil found in the skin of Egyptian mummies? As Eucalyptus sp. Only grow natively in Australia. Research your facts before labeling others as "idiots".

  • is that like in kariong... cuz i know alot of people that just write stuff up there ... they look a little fresh for being made over 4000 years ago dont they???

  • @PSPI71 Dude you need to do some research on the whole site , this is an elaborate hoax which has been proven many times

  • @PSPI71 YEAH YOU TELL THE RETARD...HAHAHAH PEOPLE ARE EXPERTS ON EVERY THING ...

  • @PSPI71 I read somewhere that Australian mammal bones were found in an excavation in Egypt. There has been strange platforms similar to the Incas in Australia also. There is a book called the Australian Pyramids but like these glyphs the notion is laughed off.

  • @PSPI71 faggot

  • @aec0691 Learn to write English correctly before you call anyone an idiot.

  • Hmm... Maybe there is a giant pyramid under Ayers Rock then.. :P

  • For a start it is called Uluru. And maybe there is :)

  • @PSPI71 It's called Ayers Rock in my book...Uluru holds no meaning for me, I'm not an Aborigine.

  • @anvilofcrom Up date your library my 4 year old calls it Uluru and it has significance to her as she is a proud little vegemite as white as white can be...

  • take a rubbing were u get paper and hold it over the glyth and rub a wax cryon all over it to copy it and then put it online so we can all check it out and find links with other cultures

get it online man before some twat gos a graffiets over it

  • I would really want them examed under Carbon dating techniques at least

  • Ummm how do you carbon date a carving?

    DOH!

You could date the rock but that wouldn't help a whole lot

  • They were dated at being less than 100 yrs old - sandstone cannot be accurately carbon dated

  • These look recent to me. Not much weathering, etc. Too bad as the Egyptians journeyed far afield to get goodies to take home. Hopefully more concrete evidence of their journeys will be proven with artifacts found in the southern land. I hope, ihope ihope

  • yeah they do look really recent. could be real, but i don't think they are.

  • have they been translated? what do they say?

    great find for sure. thanks.

  • com/egyptaustralia.html

  • Hi Yes I have read most of the articles online regarding the Gosford Glyphs several times. Which always seems to cite "White 1996" as a reference. "White" himself has even distanced himself from his first article. I have studied the Gosford glyphs for long enough now to know that they are not "ancient". Please visit my website for my analysis of the Gosford Glyph mystery unexplainedaustralia com

  • If egyptians never came here. How do you explain aboriginal's in armen land I think its called.

Speaking some egyptian words. And very old coin's and golden scaribs found all over the southern land? These one's are most likely a load of crap. But many other things have been found.

It's perfetic isn't I just want to believe that's all:(

  • crystalinks

  • A link to the story of the Gosford Hierogylphs.

    PSP171 please read this.

  • interesting

  • ... really good video, the images on the stone remember me to the mental fly that the mushrooms provocate, theres a really big place i sopose, look around and in the montaclules you can find wheres the people live...

  • Where exactly on the CC is this spot ?

  • DUDE! i live in wyoming....where is this supposed site i have millions of dollars and will help establish a archeological reserve...nah im just a uni student but this is hella interesting! are you sure these are ancient and not made by a fanatic archeological student back in the hippy days?

  • You may be on to something there?

  • Cool video! Very interesting!

  • wow!!!!

  • After visiting this place the first time I actually started to learn Egyptian Hieroglyphs, you quickly realise once you understand how they are written that these carvings are in fact gibberish. Other than the couple of cartouches none of it makes any sense. Characters are written in the wrong direction or they are very inaccutrate and not grouped to make words. The reason why someone would do this is more of mystery to me.

  • That is some crazy stuff. If it was done by some handicapped man as you said he must really know his heiroglyphs. It takes talent to say the least.

  • this is limestone, easy to scrach in, but tell me where was this taken??

  • No this type of stone is not limestone, most likley sandstone (or some other similar kind of sedimentary rock)I have read a story that a handicapped man was caught by a National Parks officer chipping away at the stone with a cold chisel. I have been to this location twice now and I dont believe as some do that these are ancient carvings. People really should read the description of the video first as I have said where they are in that intro.

  • Looks interesting, seems to have been there for a while.

I grew up in this area, its one of the most beautiful places in Australia.

  • a whyle a go like in 1997 or 1998 when we used to live in Avoca beach my dads frend came acroos these and he took dad and me there i was 7 or 8.

  • This is great! greetings from germany

  • gday, where was that taken? I used to live in Somersby, up past kariong.. very interesting.
