As far as the movie storyline goes, i was impressed the thing took 12 of those missles and was still standing before it finally collapsed. In comparison it only took 2 of them to blow up the Garden. But if they hadnt killed it, and this were in real life, the only people that'd survive are those in places too cold for this thing to go.
