Actually, C. Ronaldo's free kick style is called "The Rocket". He doesn't curve the ball at all, and rather hits the ball straight up without any angle at its hardest point which is the valve. That way the ball has a shorter travel time & distance and is a lot faster than if you bend it. Although both direct free kick styles have advantages and disadvantages.
