This game is from 1991 or 1992. Not too far of a stretch, I suppose for the time. I was about 9 or 10 at the time this game came out, and in school I even recall their going on about how we'd have flying cars by the year 2000. lol

@monsterviolence That's because the remakes of this game are based on the arcade version which is slightly different from the SNES one. There's no Technodrome level, for instance, and instead of pirate Bebop & Rocksteady you fight Tokka and Rahzar on the pirate ship :|

This Super Nintendo game is superior compared to the shitty download on the Playstation Network. Bibop and Rock Steady are NOT on the remade game, neither is the boss from the sewer from level 2 or Shredder trying to kill you at 2:45! There also seems to be an extra level on here.

On a side note, I had a cheap, albeit slower method of killing Metalhead without taking any damage. You could wait in the top left corner for him to finish his kicks and beat the hell out of him until he does it again. Rinse and repeat.

The arcade never had the first Technodrome level, Cement Man was the boss of Prehistoric, Tokka and Razhar were the bosses of Skull, and Bebop and Rocksteady never did appear in the game. All that stuff was switched for the SNES version.

Fairly obvious that you're using cheats. Consider the fact that you never get knocked back, also living at 1 health 4 or 5 boss fights. Both of those stood out pretty clearly.

@hiphop232323 i noticed that he was always at 1 health for majority of the bossfights aftermaths which i found a bit odd, and secondly how the hell can u be at 7 lives in technodrome with only 300 and somewat kills, each lifeup is earned after every 200 kills so u would've had to be at, at least 400 points and up to be able to be at 7, still nice try but i know u were cheating :P

i can tell you dont really know much about teh game or you just would rather be ignorant but each turtle has a special move..... pretty much all side scroller games had a special move back in the 90's and if you used it and hit an enemy it would do large amount of damage but at the cost of taking your own energy, hence why he has a lower amount of energy

@mashimartin totally right, man. i saw a playthrough of the remake version, and its really cool to see in new cool graphics all this. but they dont include a lot of cool stuff from this game, like BEBOP AND ROCK, SHREDDER is a total gay turd in the new one, he doesnt shoot fire and all that, and the numer one reason this version is better: THE MUSIC. i was so disappointed when i heard the music on the remake wasnt a remasterized version of these cool tracks.
