  • SUCK IT ATI SUCK IT REAL GOOD

  • Seriously!!! this is amazing, ive always thought Havok is the best at physics...

and then stupid people say its Unreal.... hahahahahahah!!!

    unreal is way below this

  • i think the book monster in ghostbusters the video game used this

  • lol what is the version of nvidia card

  • It's gonna be neat when they can create items that can bend and break upon impact by the simple physics.

  • they already did play star wars the forced unleashed

  • Ah they did? that's neat!

But i meant more like if you cut a treebransch with a sword the tree will break on that exact spot and if you didnt cut with enough force it would only have a cut or hanging by a few wooden fragments attatched to the tree. things like that.

  • maybe in the future :D

  • не чего нового

  • since this was 3 years ago

    but today:

Havok Pwns nvidia nard with their engine

  • u.... dont own an nvidia card do u ?

buy a decent nvidia card (gtx260 or more) buy batman arkham assylum if u havent already and cry hard about what you've been missing

  • i thought they were together xD

  • Every time I see a demo of a physics engine being shown, it makes me want the demo more than an actual game. Lol

  • yes its SO TRUE

  • how i add it to a game?

  • oh lol this is from year 2006.

  • lol, it looks some kind of disgusting...

  • The game I play with most implemented physics is CSS. No characters get stuck in walls unless it's a custom map.

  • Maybe not in CSS because CSS isn't really aboutt the physics and it is supposed to be like that, but source uses havok physiscs just so you know.

  • It isn't "supposed" to be like that, the multiplayer physics support is just terrible. Not that it's Valve's fault, if you had accurate physics then it would be like having loads of extra players on a server which would slow it down. And it uses a heavily modified version of the Havok engine.

  • .. i thought CS:S means Counter Strike SOURCE

  • Havok is the physics engine which is part of the Source Game engine...

  • my bad then :p

  • So what did you smoke when you typed in that statement??

  • Sorry I didn't make myself clear.

The Source engine uses Havok. Havok is a part of Source, but not in the sense that Valve created or owns it.

(@ everyone who gave me thumbs down: Is that clear enough?)

  • are you really sure about that ?

  • were can i get this physics sandbox thing?

  • you've got to be kidding me?

u seriusly think halo 1 look better than feks. call of duty 4?

  • sry but i am not kidding. I really hate physics engines beause they glitch so much. In FEAR characters stuck in walls, in Halo 3 and Halo 2 characters stuck in the ground.ETC

  • ?....

have u played crysis? if u play crysis u will start liking the physics engine ;)

  • @SgtSKU the crysis ragdoll is gay though..

  • you hate physics engines because characters get stuck in the world every now and then? Give me a break. It's an extremely small price to pay for the amount of things a good physics engine allows you to do. I'd like to see you try create a flawless one.

  • Uhh, didn't Halo 1 have ragdoll?

  • no, it had physics engine but it was an in-house engine meaning Bungie developed it themselves for that game. It had preset animation when u die and fall. No ragdoll, no game had ragdoll until 2002 which was Timesplitters.

  • Actually, the first game to have Ragdoll physics was Jurassic Park: Trespasser which was out in 1998 :)

    DarkPhoenix

  • Havok work very well in half life 2, now if onily my video caard would support HL2..... sigh and it was a great game 2

  • If you don't know, Physics engines exists since the first game.

A game NEEDS it to work. How would he knows when a ball collides with a paddle or when Mario is touching the ground?

  • lol too me a bit to get that

  • I just noticed that statement was wrong...

    The game was actually "Reality".

  • zomfg... whats that stuff....... ?

  • i see some traffic cones

  • I see some skulls and bones too...

  • brr :O=

  • wtf is all that stuff?

  • endorphines engine kick ass

  • they can dumb ass

  • The "dumb ass" would be the person responding aggressively because someone 'dared' to question the awesome power of their favourite console even though he answered a question to something he knows nothing about...

But, I am making allot of assumptions saying that.

The real answerer would be maybe; it depends on how much graphics power the developers are willing to give up in exchanged for this level of physics, and will the games graphics meet 360 standards after the exchange.

  • ROFLMAO!

  • HOLY CARP THIS IS GOING TO DEMAND DUAL nvidea 8800 GTX! HOPE YOU CAN DO THIS WITH A XBOX 360!

  • the processor does physics, the graphics card does graphics. but i figure with all of those objects, you would need dual 8800 gts. unless you have a physics card.

  • What do you mean "Ageia is the best after all." This is Havok. And by the looks of it, Havok is the best after all.

  • There is allot more to the physics war than you seem to know, there are many things wrong with Havok FX hidden under the surface of their fancy demos. Too much to explain with YouTube's character limit.

  • Lol, no no, I am fully aware of its flaws, I was just pointing out that this vid doesn't illistrate your point. Although, I am a fan of Havok.

  • Yeah, Havok has its failures. But so does Ageia.
