I have a quad 8-track deck, and I do have and Electrophonic quad 8-track player that WOULD be nice but no matter how many times I try replacing the power transistors for the 2 of the blown amps I CAN'T GET THEM WORKING!
I had the Quad electrophonic, played discreet 8 track and sq albums. I added the electrophonic cassette and a JVC manual turntable with Shure cartridge. sadly it all was stolen out of storage in Fort Worth. The speakers were big floorstanding ones with horn tweeters. It had a cool European look to it.
How Many AUX inputs are on the Receiver. This makes me want one now. I'm addicted to retro stereo's after hearing an old stereo from the 80's outdo a Brand NEW JVC stereo with dual subs.
btw thanx i learned something new about one channel being out never thought about that i've had those issue with some receiver i've found but never found nothing wrong with it after longtime tinking also cool song at 4:39 purple rain love that song

The only "Quad" on this is hooking the back speakers in parallel with the front speakers. It's not discrete quad.

The speakers are fullrange, and the receiver has one AUX input. The speakers have a 6 1/2 inch and 4 inch fullrange wired in series.

can you actually rewind an 8-track tape? Or do you have to set it to program 4 and wait for the tape to pop back out?
