His support there was crucial so as an Irish man I'm grateful for that but I can't help but think he should have been stronger in his dealings with Bush and Iraq. Economically I don't know but Brown seemed to inherit a nightmare. She seems to me to be a leech who offers nothing.
With Iraq, Tony supported it himself so therefore he was going to take the country to war for reasons he believed and I still believe to be valid today.
Regarding the UK he managed to sort out the country after 18 years of tough Conservative government and the NHS, education system and infrastructure was working. Most of the economic problems today are thanks to Brown - most recently his uncontrollable spending which Blair had warned against - we're now paying for that with the cuts.
Brown forced Blair out of the position of prime minister. It is therefore perhaps somewhat understandable that she has no time for any of his speeches?
I can understand why, with her insane smile and her husband insane eyes they are gold. And the fact that Blair managed to push Thatcher off her pedestal as the most controversial hated PM makes them even more wonderful.

Frankly even if he is kind of union man good on him. It always seems that corporations make cut backs whilst announcing record profits and/or shipping the jobs to countries with cheaper labour.
It is men like your Dad that makes these companies into what they are, more so then the bureaucrats above him. Striking can send a powerfull message.
