A real F1 car has a top speed at 300km/h becos of it`s gearbox. They are only made for tracks and not for public roads but the acceleration is around 2.4sec on 0-100km/h. That means a car made for public road can take a F1 car on top speed but on the acceleration and corners and down breaks? No way.

It's amazing the power they get out of these engines today...roughly 420hp out of a 4.0 liter V8!! I've got an e39 540i that has a 4.4 liter v8 and it puts out about 290hp (but gets 320 lb-ft of torque compared to the 2011 m3's 290 lb-ft). Anyway, I'd love to own the new M3, but would like the brand new M5 better!! (I know the new turbo V8 will be more powerful, but the old v10 is more //M style...like naturally aspirated!?!? Turbos are for Audi's, BMW!!)
