This video is the perfect answer to all those people who dont understand why fire trucks should come to a stop at all red lights.
As for the guy who posted neither engine had lights on...you can plainly see them on the truck coming at the camera. And at four seconds you can see the lights on the front of the other engine as well. They were both on.
I live in St.Louis and remeber this. There where both on the same call and both had a call for smoke in the area and both where looking around trying to find the fire. But still stupid.
Don't stop if you can see the crossstreet is clear.
Do slow enough to be able to stop if necessary.
Such a stopping rule needlessly lengthens response time, causes more wear and tear to apparatus, wastes fuel and creates more pollution and further impedes traffic flow.
Surprised thathe truck withe green signal does not appear to have brakes applied after the collision.
The pedestrian in white continues to walk away pretending not to notice.
Oh, I see the guy in white was apparently pointing outhe otheresponding truck.
He did try to help.
Still surprised he did not come to anyone's aid.
Hearing an approaching siren, I stopped at an intersection. Opposing traffic had also stopped. Seeing me stopped, driver in lane two slowed and stopped.
Moron in lane 3, oblivious why vehicles are stopped at a green signal, proceeded into the intersection at full speed - 35 mph.
Fire truck was ready for such an idiot and no collision.
not that guy.. the other guy in white. He is clearly standing on the street corner and pointing down the road. look a little bit higher and to the left of the guy leaning against the tree
I love the guy in white standing on the corner in the top right quater of the screen. He just stands there with his arm up trying to point out the truck coming and then just walks away like.. told ya so.
It's possible both drivers were looking at the smoke coming from the fire. You can see one driver clearly run the red light, but neither engine has their lights on. There is no sound. I wonder if that means the sirens were off also.. At the very end you can see the water coming out of the engine. The amount of momentum in each engine is impressive.
Glad to know there are smart profesional drivers out there.

it would be funny if two ambulances came to the scene and crashed into each other as well.

He's not pointing. He is leaning on the tree.

He said top right corner, chief. He's not talking about the tree guy.
