@tey420 Microsoft has always given alot more options than apple ever has. Whereas apple tries to take over every aspect of your life, rather than just making software they make hardware, they make the cords, the accessories. With every single apple product you buy, they force you to buy 3 other in the process, and through that they get you to buy 3 more, all at prices they tell you to pay, because they don't give you a choice. Big brother is watching you, apple is watching you.
This isn't about Microsoft, it's about IBM. The battle at this time was mainly about hardware, even though Apple provided bot the hardware and software. It was thought that IBM was more controlling than Apple.

In 1984 The novel it portraits a future of people controled by fascists using techology like the television, they tell us what to think.
In this ad Apple tell us that we will have more options to choose that the TV (and IBM computers monopoly will start to fall in pieces)
this ad is so epic because it predicts that this new competition will spark a revolution in technology.

This video is referring to George Orwells 1984 novel. It portrays a futuristic dystopian society of mind controlled slaves. Much like we have to today. This commercial is nothing more than "Revelation of the Method". Big brother is telling you what things are going to be like, so that you do not freak out when the time comes.
