great skiing, great water and what kind of boat is that cause i love that wake, ive got a '24 chapperal that i ski off of and the wake make it impossible to go top speed
I wonder if someone would tell me if wakeboarding is easier than this? I just bought my first boat - and would sure like to try some form of skiing. Any suggestions?
Wakeboarding is much more easier to get up on, and you don't tire out as quickly as you do on slalom. But slalom is more of a work out, and your adrenaline kicks up as well. Wakeboarding is more of a freestyle sport.
Try barefooting on a boom. That's awesome as well!
actually it might depend on the boat you bought on which you would have more fun with, if your boat is big and makes a big wave slalom skiing wont be as much fun, but i think slalom is more fun, just harder to learn and get used to compared to wakeboarding.
the people who dont slalom ski think its so easy. its not, it takes alot of practice and physical demand. not to mention timing and coordination. i can ski pretty good (not as good as him) the problem is my ski is too big for a person my size and the boots are my dads old one so they are kind of loose. hopefully ill get a shorter ski and some animal boots this year.
Yeah really. I slalom ski (been skiing for 2 years) and I can get passes on 32mph (im 14 and not the best yet :P). I always thought that it was a piece of cake, but NOOO. Everyone really should try to slalom, and only then will you realize the tension and mentality it requires.
Thats wonderful, nice carving done on both sides of the wake. Of course a great ski makes a great slalom but it does seem to me you have some good form.
This is great skiing. It's obvious that some of these comments come from people that have never done slalom. This takes endurance and very smooth transition to be carving that many times.
nice skiing dude, awsome.

plus we'd be out there before all the tubers and jet skiers.

So much endurance. Think of this kind of skiing as trying to slow down the boat and you'll realize the amount of tension and shear forces involved.

they are very different sports really. its more of preference. i prefer wakeboarding but i do like to slalom occasionally.
