  • BEAUTIFUL !

  • The most beautiful Catholic Eucharist Song.

  • Praise Him with utmost love and respect

  • This was one song that always touches my heart. It's beautiful.

  • This is such a beautiful song when receiving the most Blessed Holy Eucharist

  • ♥♥♥

  • Is it so hard to believe? Just let go, and let God...

  • This is what Holy Communion is. One Lord giving Himself to us. When we receive the Body and Blood of Christ in Holy Communion we share that communion with the whole Church. If I receive in England and another is receiving in Australia, we are communing together and we are one with Jesus.. How wonderful is that?

  • I loveeeee this song. Thank-you for posting it. I want to download into my i-pod, where can i buy???

  • Even though we all worship in different langauges, it all has the same meaning we can all understand...

  • PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!! the south will rise again!!!!

  • @Pikzipp oh very nice, I am sure Jesus would have few issues with that. Especially that whole slavery part.

  • @Pikzipp are u from CdeO??? if so, then you are right!!! we will rise again, with the Lord's guidance we will and can make it through. I know it has been a very sad event of what happened. But I hope that everyone can still look at this as a blessing. This is a test from God- an untimely one, I might say. Because on this very month, He has thought us how to be selfless, He has showed us how to really celebrate Christmas. And we have not let him down... I am positive of that. Merry Xmas

  • PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!

  • There is only one God. ALL worship Him in different ways.

  • @thejollyoldelf Amen

  • good song and nice voice too.God be with you!

  • i love this song!! We sing it all the time in my church!!! Its just such a beautiful song!!!

  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Tonight (April 21), we sang this at our Maundy Thursday service during the distribution of Holy Communion. It is #496 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

  • is being a gay an evil thing????

  • @dfucker02 I think it's a COMMUNIST thing.. created as an abomination... Many evils come from COMMUNISM in our modern world.. look at how music changed ..compare music lyrics, dancing today with ever in the past... I do not think people who think they are queer are evil, but I do think they are being led away from God and Gods law... I pray for them to awaken to His love and light.. love the person... not the act.

  • Our "being" is a gift from God who, good and true to himself, would never give us a something He'd later condemn. Sin is a disgraceful action of us that alienates us from Him and therefore is evil. To commit a homosexual act is a grave sin that separates us from God. But the good thing is that this and all of the other sins have been already forgiven by Christ, who paid for them on the cross, out of love for all of us. And this is the good news: that he loves us even while we are still sinners.

  • Ps 46.:10 I will be still and know you are : ELOHIM , EL SHADDAI, ADONAI, JEHOVAH, JEHOVAH-JIREH , EL ELYON, KADOSH, EL ROI, YESHUA, I AM ,

Our Lord, our Saviour, our Father.

Praise and all honor to you God Almighty. We need your love and understanding and bless the people who come to you to worship you, especially those in tears and pain. Oh Abba Father…..have mercy upon us.

In Jesus sweet loving name we pray.

  • I love this video.

  • How this song melts my heart and elevates my soul. Just one of the best song ever composed. The crescendo is sublime.

  • This marvelous song melts my soul and elevates my heart

  • What is that picture at 0:34?

  • @NaturalEnquirer I think ts Milan Cathedral

  • @NaturalEnquirer I believe the picture is of the statues found on top of the Duomo, in Milan, Italy.

  • Unity in Christ Jesus.

  • @mrs. you apparently are only looking at one item , the breaking of bread. Not the whole issue I am talking about. The Eucharist for example. Is not biblical. NO where in the Bible does it mention Christ alive in the cup. He is standing in front of the disciples. why would he have to be alive in the cup. Jesus also warned , if any man says Christ is here or there believe it not, for His coming will be as the lightning . In very fact the Eucharist is saying He is in it. alive.( a mystical Jesus.

  • @tsytb The Eucharist is completely biblical;

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins."

  • @tsytb John 6-54 "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.

  • that's correct jayrchua... we should not stand on our religion but on our FAITH to GOD

  • John Michael Talbot has turned Ecumenical. He use to be a true believer, or at least I was lead to believe that by his music. I have a double cd of his from before. No wonder I never listen to it. I say , be lead by the spirit. then you will be the true children of God. If not, you are worshipping a false Christ. The religion attached to this video is not biblical and as a matter of fact the bible says that these are pagan practices in this church depicted. They are derived from Babylon

  • @tsytb Matthew 26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body."

Any more Catholic teaching you need me to show the Biblical roots of?

  • I sing this song at a church choir

  • You are right - it is St. Theresa Catholic Church in Wilson, nc.

  • At 3:25, I believe that is St. Therese Catholic Church in Wilson, NC. It's close to where I grew up and I have been to mass there several times.

  • God & Jesus---"One Bread One Body"

  • Beautiful; I love my Lord Jesus Christ

  • @SteveFR14 me too, buddy.... me too.. but it's not enough to love Jesus.. You got to prove it..

  • so beautiful

singing this song makes me feel happy

its such a great song it enlightens you when u sing along

  • my favorite catolic song to sing

  • When I was in my twenty's there was a time of contemplating a premature exit but listening to JMT's gift of music through out these many years since than I live with hope for a better tomorow

We humans must inspire or expire because their is no other alternative to life on earth

Thank you John and your Little Portion

  • one of my most favorite Catholic Hymns

  • hahhahaahahah

  • the funniest thing in the world about christianity is....NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE IS ANY HUMAN SOUL PROMISED EVER TO GO TO A MAGICAL LAND CALLED "HEAVEN". Heaven is a place for angels. not humans. when humans die, nothing happens. its like turning off a robot. because that is essentially all that you are. you have to be really dumb to buy into that christianity bullshit.

  • @ifukdhhell666 if you r willing to discuss this rationally and with an open mind, I can show you over and over in the BIBLE where we are promised eternal life in a "magical" place called heaven. It actually begins with something called the millenial kingdom and a sharing in Christ's inheritance that God his father established for him to rule on a new heaven and new earth to be created.

He offers the gift to you also.

  • @ifukdhhell666, I see the devil is at work.

  • @jsowens7 the devil doesn't exist. duh.

  • @ifukdhhell666 Keep telling yourself that...besides, your screen name is rather telling.

  • @ifukdhhell666 I am curious why you would be searching YouTube songs by John Michael Talbot, if you don't believe in a God or Devil? what would this genre of music give you?...well, you obviously are questioning that. The Lord is there for ALL, you are included. Open your Heart and accept Him~!

  • @ifukdhhell666 Who is responsible for the evil in the world?

  • @oneofseven100 well. i could say the good in the world, since it is the light that creates the darkness...or i could go the other route and say the "god" is responsible, since he is apparently the omniscient mystical entity that created everything, including himself from absolute nothingness....hmmmm....nah. i'm sticking with I DON'T KNOW ! I'm gonna go eat some mushrooms in a field....

  • @ifukdhhell666 God did not create evil. He created the possibility for evil, he gave us free will so we could choose to love him as opposed to us being forced into serving a god. Because he gave us free will we can choose to do evil and he wont stop us BUT, he will always be their to love us and to forgive us. Any further comments can be posted on my channel, Or go talk to your local pastor. by the way lay off the mushrooms.

  • @oneofseven100 so you are saying that god did NOT create everything?....wouldn't that make the bible a lie?

  • @ifukdhhell666 NO NO NO, evil is not a thing, it is as Aquinas says the wrong action applied to a object. God created all the actions and the objects thus creating everything, but because he also created free will he allowed for the possibility of mixing the actions with the objects, thus creating evil. the bible is always correct, you just need an authority (such as the Catholic church) to help correctly interpret it.

  • @ifukdhhell666 Darkness is the absence of light. sin is the absence of God

  • @ifukdhhell666 My beloved, I was like you not that long ago. If I couldn't see it, touch it or measure it, I didn't want to talk about it saying, "Please go away, now!" But then while studying Zen Buddhism and spiritual enlightenment, I ran across hundreds videos of people who had near death experiences and it sounded amazingly similar to the experiences of the enlightened masters. Some call it the Source, I happen to call it Christ; the light of infinite, unconditional love. God bless you!

  • @ZachreyCA WOW. That sounds crazy. I don't mean the experience. I mean, what you said.

  • @ifukdhhell666 Read the New Testament of the Bible Mathew, Mark, Luke,

  • It is a glorious song, but written by John Foley, SJ.

  • It is a glorious song, but written by John Foley, SJ, not John Michael Talbot.

  • Every time I sing the refrain: "One Bread, One Body, One Lord of All" I always cry. I don't know why. Like at mass I start tearing up as I serve the Eucharist. Its so beautiful.

  • One of the greatest songs ever.Bless you.

  • Beautiful song! *Help: I am looking for a rather old tape that contains this song, along with "City of God" and "Walk Humbly" (or "Walk with your God"?). The tape was recorded at a "TEC" retreat. Has anyone heard of this tape or know where to obtain? As a non-Catholic, I am clueless. :-) I just know I loved that tape when it was lost in a move between apartments. Many thanks and keep the faith!

  • This is such a truly beautiful Catholic Hymn! It's truly one my favourites to sing along in church!!!

  • I really like this song! I was resently baptised on april 3, 2010 at 18 years old and it was the best day of my life!!! God is Great!!

  • This song was played during communion @ my daughters graduation(catholic school). Very beautiful and ever so TRUE.

United our we in Christ, The Lord.

    Amen

  • I love this song. It is evrything a Catholic shoul be. It touches me!

  • This is the whole point: Muslims, Jews, and Christians join together in the Way! We are all a part of Creation. Jesus brought it to some, but so did Moses and Mohammed! If you will let LOVE flow through your being, you too can join the cause of universal peace. I got nuthin more. I'm just a fallible man and a messenger.

  • @jeep1234567890 most Jews don't accept that Jesus died on the cross, Muslims think he was a prophet, the only people who will Rise with Christ are those who Belive and follow Him(Jesus)

  • i really love this song. I play this on flute with my church choir and the flute part is so beautiful.

  • Thanks for uploading this, it's beautiful. If you like sacred music, you might like to hear my own piano composition "Deo Omnis Gloria" which is inspired by the Holy Mass (click on my name and go to Part 5 of my video). Thanks again and God bless. Chris

  • I love this hymn. Such a beautiful melody and beautiful, uplifting lyrics. I cannot wait to sing this at communion.

  • Thank you for posting, I needed that in this time of need.

  • As perfect a song as it is possible for us to sing ... if only we could appreciate and act on its truth.

  • This songs is so beautiful and never fails to make me cry each time I hear it.

  • any song of worship is a great testament to gods love...like the song says gentile or jew we are one bread one body...as a roman catholic I have heard this song on many a sunday but it was no made for one Faith but for every one on the earth..God bless..

  • we used to sing this during Holy Mass in the Communion part...one of my favorites thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for posting. I used to sing this alot in school. One of my favorites. :)

  • I posted a thank you for having the words on this song, because I appreciated it and received 3 thumbs down. That totally cracks me up. I don't care but people are ignorant (the CORRECT ignorant), I swear

  • @ jayrchua...Agreed!

  • Even though we had different religion (Christians), but still we had the same God and we should not discriminate everyone for we had Jesus in our heart...

  • @jayrchua that would mean, we Christians who believe in the inerant Word of God are out...I would not want to be part of a false body of christ.

  • soo beautiful...........

    one of my favorites

thank you so much for posting the vid and may God Bless you and keep you always

  • Thank you for posting one of my favorite's. Having the word's on it is certainly a plus. I wish more of the hymn's and song's would post the word's. Very beautiful. Thank You : )

  • Thank U for sharing this video...very beautiful song..I heard from morning mass yesterday..

  • I am going to Mass tommorow in our soldier's chapel here at Ft. Hood and pray for the victims of the shootings from last thursday.

  • May I remind you that God Loves everyone right where they are at. God would have you use those resources to share the love of God and not be so puffed up.

  • why would you even say such a thing underneath a video like this.... definatly not the right place. i hope that god is real and that he treats your dumbass

  • 7 Therefore Jesus said again, I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep

John 10 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. Psalm 23

    One Bread One Body

  • wine:

27 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins

    Matthew 26

  • Our savior Jesus

  • omg! i sing this is in choir! beautiful! :)

  • i love to sing this song in church. sometimes its just nice to listen to good christian music

  • Christians are the best!!--

    i love being a Christian,

we have all the resources in the world and we are winning all the wars!!

    Feels great being a Christian!!!!!!!!!

  • Christianity is not about wars.

  • i so love this song..i used to listen to it wayback during my highschool days and thank God i got to listen to it again and for good.

  • Let's listen to the beautiful song. Whenever they sing this song in church I can;t keep from crying.

  • i fell the same way bout' on eagles wings it was song at my grandpas funeral and i miss him soo much i was just crying like 2 mins ago because of that song i cant even go to church without crying when i hear that song i love it soo mich

  • "On Christian Liberty" and you find that Luther isn't the demoniac that you seem to give him credit for.

I am, by the way, a convert to the Catholic Church, so please don't pull out the "You are a Protestant and don't understand the Catholic Church like WE do!" I am part of this we.

  • Cathofaithdef, you are very incorrect in your analysis of what Luther taught. Luther taught that salvation came from belief and faith in Jesus Christ, not the sacraments. He DID affirm the role of ceremony and sacrament in the Church, but did not give it room as part of salvation. Further, he did NOT say that you can break the 10 Commandments and do all the sins that you want. In fact, he encouraged his followers to live holy lives that are pleasing to God. Please read Luther's

  • this song was sung at my wedding for the lighting of the unity candle : )

  • Just listen to the song,,,forget the preaching,,,

  • Why are people considering us Catholics as non-christians? i have heard many people consider Christians exclusively for protestants and other dominations. Like, isn't it unfair? we catholics and you protestants believe in Christ, and consider Him as our Savior. Catholics and Protestants, CHRIST-ians. ALL of us are Christians.

  • Given that the Catholic church holds that there is no salvation outside the Holy (Roman) Catholic church...I can see where some of the animosity comes from.

  • I think not. we are taught to respect other religions and make peace with them. a long time ago, Christians were aggressive against other non-christians, full of wars and stuff. but now, we all know better, so there.

  • Comment removed

  • @RainShowers2505 . No, I am no expert but I am rather convinced that The Catholic Church has changed its view on this issue . Our merciful God will take home all people of Good Will . There is no doubt !

  • 53Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. John 6

  • Jesus also referred to Himself as a vine, as a door, as a gate, as a shepherd.. ...He was none of these things literally; anymore than Peter was a literal "rock". Many were offended at His words because they took this uber-literally, and could not see the symbolism in His meaning. Peter's statement that Jesus is the Christ was revealed to him by the Father. All who believe this and truly follow after Christ constitute the rock, or foundation on which Jesus continually builds His "Church".

  • I see no contradiction in the literal use of the words wine, door ,shepherd

Door 19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,

    Hebrews 10

6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.John 14

  • Jesus' choice of words are masterfully used to describe the spiritual significance of these things. It would be contradictory to claim He is physically present inside a door, a vine or turns into a shepherd, that's all. Blessings!

  • No you don't understand he is the door and he is the Shepherd and he is the wine, I lost my dictionary in greek where Shepherd also mean something PASTOR= PASCO? PASTURE=FOOD

    The Door is his body

  • cathofaithdef-

Jesus is the Bread of Life-

no matter which denomination of Jesus your Church practices-

Jesus is not just for Christians- He is Lord over all the WORLD- and seeks the purity of every man's heart- no matter what Religion one ascribes too-

God's temple isn't a sect or place- it is in the simplest of places to find...

    your soul

  • many protestant don't believe in the Eucharist, but ill tell there has been a miracle in my life thanks to the body and blood of Christ, if you want to hear the story message me.

  • good!! the blind ppl dont hav allot of spiritual insight, they needed to pray for them. They full understanding the Pslam " o bread of host or O bread of heaven." til NT waited patience for the Lord n Jews denies it because they r blind what God told Adam n Eve about there wil be another woman wil hav a son open the gate of heaven.

  • Nice video. Thank you for posting this video.

God bless you and peace be with you.

  • peter is the rovk

  • Fellow Christians every song that is from any christian denomination and it is good theologically and liturgically, should be shared and appreciated by all christians. God's gifts and charisms are scattered among christians

    steve okeke

  • it definitely shouldn't even because this song is pure roman catholic, it talks about the Eucharist not anything that exists in any little protestant sect.

  • Wow, you are very uninformed then. My church has The Lords Supper (otherwise known as the Eucharist or communion) every single Sunday as do some other Protestant religions. I am not anti-Catholic by any means..I believe that all believers in Christ and God are all equally blessed..What I don't like is the notion of some Catholics that the other religions do not worship in the right way, when in reality, our worships are not too different.

  • your communion is just ademonstration, because the most beautiful part of our mass is when the priest sacrifises, the bread and wine. but i iam really sorry for offending in any way, many protestants don't have the same point of view as you.

  • Our Lords Supper seems to be fairly similar..the reverend bless the bread and the wine, we say the excerpt from Corinthians 11:24 ("This is my body, which is broken for you..) then the reverend takes communion and then we do. I accept, and I'm sorry if I seemed like I was criticizing your faith, I just don't want Protestant denominations to be looked down upon because we may do some things different. The important thing is that we are all worshipping and giving thanks to the same Lord.

  • You should do a little research before you speak of what you do not know. I'm Lutheran and we do take communion every Sunday, it is a sacrament commanded by Jesus. Our Church teaches that the REAL presence of Christ body and blood in the bread and wine. Different religions are different because of doctrinal issues. In the long run, I do not believe that these issues will keep anyone who believes in Jesus as his Saviour and is baptized out of Heaven.

  • No, Jesus only gave peter the authority to sacrifice the body and bread, and that was past on, not to Martin Luther the antiChrist man that went against god's teachings, that heretic blasphemous fool.

  • This is the reason protestants don't like catholics . . . somehow they believe that because catholism came first it is exclusive. Luther was enlightened. He went against the catholic church for 95 reasons . . . And if Peter is the only one with the authority to sacrifice the body why do catholics have communion.

  • BECAUSE HE PAST ON THE AUTHORITY. why because he could he had the authority, whatever u bind in earth will be bound in heaven

  • Seriously, I can't believe you said that! I don't know what chapter of the Bible you read about Peter's authority of sacrifice. At the last supper Jesus said that "This is my body, which is given to you." Not by Peter but by God. Jesus warned Peter about the denial, and after he turn back to Him, should strengthen the followers. No mention about authority. Jesus also said: whenever two or three comes together in His name, He is going to be there.

  • @kdw405 I agree with you that I'm sure God lets many religions into heaven, but you can't just be baptized, say "Jesus is my Saviour" and then commit murder, adultery, etc, without remorse and still go to heaven.

  • @CatholicForever1 You are not Catholic. God does not "let many religions into heaven" only those

who die in sanctifying grace and members of the One Holy Catholic Church will be saved. Religious indifference

is an evil doctrine promoted by the vatican II church, speaking out of both sides of her wicked mouth. This false

church, posing as the true Catholic Church is the church the protestants have identified as the whore of babylon. A remnant of faithful Catholic's remain; Two Witnesses

  • What body is he sacrificing? And how did he get the authority if it wasn't passed on? And I don't believe for one minute that you did NOT mean to offend anyone. That is exactly what you are trying to do . . . Maybe if the catholic church had not been "selling" salvation . . .

  • And ill say to you peter (not martin Luther) u are rock and on this rock ill build my church.

Martin Luther said only faith will get you to heaven, u can break the 10 commandments, do all sins and you will still go to heaven. as long as you believe, u know how ridiculous that is?

  • we catholic hav truth then rest of religous veered off different direction thinks they know it all

  • I feel really bad that you have that negative view toward other Christian religions. Can't you see that we are all for the same common goal? I pray that one day you can open your mind to the rest of the Christian world. God thinks of all of us as His children.. not separately as His Catholic children, His Baptist children, His Methodist children, etc. So please, try to do God's work but realise that other Christians are trying to do the same. You do not have to convert, just understand.

  • we are all his children unconditionally. truth.

  • Absolutely, this is the most important truth of all and it is a truth that any Christian can see, no matter what denomination.

  • too bad most dominations dont respect the roman catholic church.

  • i agree with you. I myself am a Catholic, and I consider all of us as Christians. We are not, in any way better than you guys. the important thing is that we believe in one God and share the same faith.

  • Catholic is the real Christian. We only called ourselves Catholics in order to be distinguish from the Protestants.

There are only 3 types of Christianity: 1st. Roman Catholic 2nd Christian Orthodox and 3rd Protestant.

There are no other Christians outside from those 3.

  • Actually, forgive me for being technical, but this is false. The Roman Catholic Church does make up the overwhelming majority of the Catholic population throughout the world, but it is by no means the only recognized Catholic rite. There are many - very many - Eastern Catholic rites, and a few other Western Catholic rites, that are in full communion with Rome. There are also, as you say, the Christian Orthodox and the protestants, who are not in full communion with Rome.

  • (That was directed to NaturalHit. I'd also like to add to it that we call ourselves Catholics, not to distinguish ourselves from the protestants, but because Catholic means Universal... We are the Universal Church. Which is part of the reason why we have so many rites...:) )

  • Yes, you are correct, but what I was trying to do was to discribe 3 types of Christianity. Like Catholism have Western or Latin Rite & Eastern or Greek Rites we can also include Ambrosian Rite, the Mozarabic Rite but in no way are they divided.

Christian Orthodox also have their own rites. But my point is that Protestant's have 52,000 different denomination world wide & their practice is different from one another so there's no unity there.

Again only 3 types of Mainstream Christianity.

  • These are just a man-made rule for the Copyright and other reasons... Songs are to be shared.. I am a Catholic and my current church (Dominican) are not allowed to use Yahweh, because it is a Jewish Terminology.

I honestly believe that there shouldn't be such rules.. So, I am a Jewish, but I was wrong to go to Dominican church because it is near my house? Freedom of religion!

  • i dont hav negative view- its only ways u think/

  • For everyone who thinks it is, this is not just a Catholic song, it's a Christian song. I am of a Protestant denomination and we sing it quite often in church from the Hymnal.

  • how come do you sing this if your domination doesn't even have the Eucharist?

  • wam bred wam bady ^_^

  • i love this song!!! i love playing my viola during mass to this song!

  • Blessed be the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, His Body...

Blessed be the Bread and Wine which will become His Body and Blood during Consecration...

Blessed be the Holy Trinity now and forever...

  • I love this song!!!!! <3

  • This is a very beautiful song. the message, the melody, are just perfect. All of us are made equal by God and therefore should act for one another and not against.

  • This is performed by John Michael Talbot but both the text and music are by Father John Foley, a Jesuit priest. He wrote it in 1978. He based it on I Corinthians 10:16-17, 12:4; Galatians 3:28; and imagery from chapter 9 of the Didache, which is the oldest known Christian book written aft
