Yes, I agree the ending was practically impossible (and that only Adam could have done it). I don't really see Danny as a nice guy at all, but I will give him some credit for not being a total ***. And he is a decent singer in most respects, his last couple songs proved that. Still, he is a bit of an idiot for picking the song. I also blame Areosmith if he didn't tell Danny that he sounded like a dying animal at the end scream. (though his comments before the preformance suggested he did)
...You forgot to mention that it was the ONLY bad note in the entire series for Danny. The dude can sing, has way better vocal talent than Kris who is pedestrian in comparison. Once again Kris and Adam can thank the teeny boppers who vote on level of cuteness rather than on actual talent.
I would have loved to hear Kris strangle that note as well it would have let us all know the level of Kris's range......

Kris knows his limitations... as do most professional singers. If everyone could hit this note they would do it more often. And no... Danny did not hit this note any more than a cat does when it gets hit by a car.

You'd think that for a contestant who claims to meditate and think over his choices so much he'd at least have the minimal amount of self-awareness necessary to know better than to pursue a song too big for him.
Gokey is one of the pitchiest singers they've had this season, not to mention that he tends to shout. Adam's vocal range blows every single other contestant out of the water and frankly, I loved Kris because he was original - I never knew what to expect from him and I liked it.
Idol is also about song choice and Danny was really stupid for picking this song. He should have gone with something softer. It was BAD.
But you see, dear, Adam is a rocker, as well as a great singer who has proper control of his falsetto. People like he and Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger can get away with rock screams because A) it's actually in tune and B) they have the vocals to pull it off musically.
Any idiot can scream like they're being mauled, as Danny well demonstrates. He should never have attempted that song and he deserves a sound beating from Steven Tyler for his utter destruction of a wonderful song.
Hey, I'm not saying that he did ~wonderfully on this part. I laughed at it for the longest time. But, he did an okay job (not saying it was the best) at the rest of the song. Adam's voice can get really pitchy, and it's not the type of thing I normally listen to. I loved when him and Allison sang slow ride together, though.

this was not Danny's best perormance, but AI stupid theme episode thing is stupid because we know this isn't his genre. The best American Idol winners were not always good at everythng and usually had one genre specialty, like David Cook (Rock) or Carrie Underwood (Country). Danny could be the best in R&B and Blue-Eyed Soul!
But true talent means being able to sound good in many genres - not being able to handle more genres than your specialty is a weakness - no excuses!!!

You fail. Youtube Adam's performance of the National Anthem - THAT'S singing. AND even when the guy screams, he screams in tune - it's called PASSAGGIO, look it up sometime. He hits all ends of his register with ease (high, low and the billion layers inbetween) and HOLDS the fucking note remaining on-key. You can't buy that level of natural ability and control. Slash laughed at Jokey and invited Adam to the Velvet Revolver frontman audition. Says it all.
Umm sorry but Danny has always been mediocre no matter what the theme. And his last performance just sucked all around, even the non-screaming parts. Allison on the other hand always excelled even outside of her comfort zone. Someone To Watch Over Me is totally un-rock and she did awesome with it. Same goes for her performance of I Can't Make You Love Me. But at the end of the day, 40 year old women who like Christian music and buy into sob stories will have their way, I guess.
Danny may be a nice guy in person, but I hate hate hate hate hate that he even auditioned for the show. I am not saying he is an awful singer, he is okay, but not talented enough to be a famous singer. There were more people on the show that deserved to get into the top 13, and that didn't include Danny.

So here's the thing, Danny has been consistently good throughout the entire season, Alison not so much. He has one bad night, she has one good night, and then everybody says he deserves to go home. She never developed a personality on the show, so she didn't have much of a fan base. And to the people that says she deserved to stay, I hope you voted hundreds of times for her, otherwise you are partially to blame for sending her home. These people depend on our support, and Danny has it.
You've got that twisted and are obviously blinded by the judge's biased agenda against Allison. She was consistently good or great. Danny has been consistently average, bad, mediocre,etc...and he's been given a free pass. They want him in the final because they know he can't beat Adam. They were threatened by the more promising talent of Allison, Kris, and others...It's so sad. Danny was good in the very beginning, but he's been such a joke since the top 36. His performances are lazy and smug.

Gokey is one of the pitchiest singers they've had this season, not to mention that he tends to shout. Adam's vocal range blows every single other contestant out of the water and frankly, I loved Kris because he was original - I never knew what to expect from him and I liked it.
Idol is also about song choice and Danny was really stupid for picking this song. He should have gone with something softer. It was BAD.

But you see, dear, Adam is a rocker, as well as a great singer who has proper control of his falsetto. People like he and Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger can get away with rock screams because A) it's actually in tune and B) they have the vocals to pull it off musically.
Any idiot can scream like they're being mauled, as Danny well demonstrates. He should never have attempted that song and he deserves a sound beating from Steven Tyler for his utter destruction of a wonderful song.

Hey, I'm not saying that he did ~wonderfully on this part. I laughed at it for the longest time. But, he did an okay job (not saying it was the best) at the rest of the song. Adam's voice can get really pitchy, and it's not the type of thing I normally listen to. I loved when him and Allison sang slow ride together, though.

this was not Danny's best perormance, but AI stupid theme episode thing is stupid because we know this isn't his genre. The best American Idol winners were not always good at everythng and usually had one genre specialty, like David Cook (Rock) or Carrie Underwood (Country). Danny could be the best in R&B and Blue-Eyed Soul!

The Eagles: Hotel California is considered rock - g00gle it. He coulda done Lenny Kravitz: American Woman - both PERFECT for his voice! Just admit it, he messed up.

You fail. Youtube Adam's performance of the National Anthem - THAT'S singing. AND even when the guy screams, he screams in tune - it's called PASSAGGIO, look it up sometime. He hits all ends of his register with ease (high, low and the billion layers inbetween) and HOLDS the fucking note remaining on-key. You can't buy that level of natural ability and control. Slash laughed at Jokey and invited Adam to the Velvet Revolver frontman audition. Says it all.

Umm sorry but Danny has always been mediocre no matter what the theme. And his last performance just sucked all around, even the non-screaming parts. Allison on the other hand always excelled even outside of her comfort zone. Someone To Watch Over Me is totally un-rock and she did awesome with it. Same goes for her performance of I Can't Make You Love Me. But at the end of the day, 40 year old women who like Christian music and buy into sob stories will have their way, I guess.

Danny may be a nice guy in person, but I hate hate hate hate hate that he even auditioned for the show. I am not saying he is an awful singer, he is okay, but not talented enough to be a famous singer. There were more people on the show that deserved to get into the top 13, and that didn't include Danny.

So here's the thing, Danny has been consistently good throughout the entire season, Alison not so much. He has one bad night, she has one good night, and then everybody says he deserves to go home. She never developed a personality on the show, so she didn't have much of a fan base. And to the people that says she deserved to stay, I hope you voted hundreds of times for her, otherwise you are partially to blame for sending her home. These people depend on our support, and Danny has it.

You've got that twisted and are obviously blinded by the judge's biased agenda against Allison. She was consistently good or great. Danny has been consistently average, bad, mediocre,etc...and he's been given a free pass. They want him in the final because they know he can't beat Adam. They were threatened by the more promising talent of Allison, Kris, and others...It's so sad. Danny was good in the very beginning, but he's been such a joke since the top 36. His performances are lazy and smug.
