T1000 is in my opinion the most advanced and most impressive. Forget the TX, and while many terminator fans may feel an attachment to, the T800 is no match, in general atleast.
Also,you can't call it T-101,just call it T-800.It will confuse people how it's more advanced,stronger,faster,and more durable than other models.They'll wonder why they would use rubber skin on a T-600,when they had real skin on T-101.But the thing is,it's not T-101,it's T-800.See what I'm saying?
I don't understand the T-1000. Wy can't it make holes in itself to avoid bullets? Why can't it solidify itself to deflect bullets? Why can't it catch objects with its chest and toss them back at the enemy?

uh... second being the T101 from T1 is wrong. There was that plane one in T3 as well. They encounter it in the hallways and there was one outside which shot a missle in and killed kates dad. It was a big deal as well because it was the ancestor to the large plane ones in the future segments of T1 and T2. I suppose it all doesn't matter much though since Cameron, the original maker of the Terminator films isn't doing them since 2 and they are noticeably lacking for it.

Oh, and hypothetically speaking, neither the t-1000 or the t-x should have been able to travel back through time. Neither was covered with living tissue like the T-800 was. Kind of a plot hole.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Personally, I think the Terminator universe is fascinating, rich and well worth in depth discussion.

My favourite terminator has got tobe Robert Patrick the T-1000 simply because of his believable ability to blend in with society. He is much scarier than Arnie because he is smaller and disguises like a cop. Now that is a great disadvantage for John Connor.
Yes its the Highwayman-jacket that T1 was wearing (from the police station scene till the end). Its custom made from Bates Leathers (they also made the movie jackets).

@CrushedJustice you make a good point, but if the movie had been better constructed instead of the over acting batman, and underuse of Michael Ironsides and bryce dallas howard, horrible Common cameo (had only 3 lines....) even the great Terry Crews was in there for like 2 seconds literally. I never got the fear for T-600's, they just looked like a flippy floppy K-nex robot, and the T-700 was just a joke, they shoulda just made his character another human, don't get me started on the heart thing

As a Terminator-fan this is my biggest question about the storyline of the movies. I hope someone can answer it:
Dialogue from T3:
- "That was a different T101!"
- "Are you sayin' you're coming from an assembly line?"
- "Correct!"
But if I understood T1 correctly, *ALL* T101s were looking different??? They show this in the flashback, where 2 101s with different faces attack the human base?? Isn't the half of the T1 all about Kyle ZEROING THE TERMINATOR COZ HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW IT LOOKED LIKE???
Are T3 (but also T2!!) telling me that Skynet did all the effort to create a cyborg model with real human tissue that even "sweat, bad breath" and everything so it can fool the humans and infiltrate their bases and then produced A WHOLE SERIES with exactly the looking of Arnie??
I mean, the only logical would be that no T101 (or even other models newer than the rubber T600) would look like another, which I believe Cameron was smart and implied in the T1.
@SaltehCrab T800 is the terminator. Model 101 is the arnie skin. So there where possibly other skin models like T800 model 102, T800 model 103 and so on.
Yes I know that 101 is the model, but it'd be redicolous if a whole model had the same appearance, just pin a simple picture of it everywhere & problem solved for a whole model! :)

I actually know about everyrthing you said and am pointing out that some of the writers of the latest movies appearantly don't coz when I see Arnie being a 101 in all movies over and over again and explaining in T3 about the one of T2 "that was a different 101", that is a serious plothole for me and stinks! :)
In my opinion, if the writers were smart enough they should write the story of the movies in such a way that the Arnie Terminator or the 1st movie would always be the same in all movies (the pretty same android "induvidual") but comming always from different timelines, which were changing since the future were always altered in the present in the movies.

You offered an alternative in making them all the same one throughout the movies. But that doesn't make what they did a plot hole. A plot hole is an error/inconsistency in the story. Plus, the one in T3 was actually a T-850 model 101.

I didn't say they made only one but only one WITH ARNIES APPEARANCE. They were produced with a random skin/face, so to speak. This is shown in Kyles flashback in T1, and only this would explain why Kyle was aware of the model but didn't know how the particular one (in T1) looked like and had to find out.
Also, it only makes sense that they had random appearance or the sweating and bad breathing wouldn't help much.
Then some pal suggested there was only one 101 made that looked like Arnie while there were others as well, 102 etc so the appearance was constantly changing while the actual endo remained the same (T800).
That also makes sense and fits very well with my suggestion above, but then, if only one Arnie-looking robot was ever created, we should logically not see any others in the next movies, but who wants that of course?
So to keep enjoying Arnie and still have a logical story, "altered timelines" with the very same, unique Arnie 101 comming again and again in the next movies would be a better idea in my personal opinion.
Say, after Skynet found the remainings in T1, the future humans knew, captured and reprogrammed Arnie to sabotage this specific termination mission of Skynet. Skynet, however, got aware and cancelled the mission for a few years until T1000 was and sent back in 1991 finally. So all humans had at that time, was their old reprogrammed Arnold robot, which they sent back in time too, etc...
I know a time travel story will never be paradox-free but I still find my suggestion a bit smarter at least.

uh... second being the T101 from T1 is wrong. There was that plane one in T3 as well. They encounter it in the hallways and there was one outside which shot a missle in and killed kates dad. It was a big deal as well because it was the ancestor to the large plane ones in the future segments of T1 and T2. I suppose it all doesn't matter much though since Cameron, the original maker of the Terminator films isn't doing them since 2 and they are noticeably lacking for it.

Oh, and hypothetically speaking, neither the t-1000 or the t-x should have been able to travel back through time. Neither was covered with living tissue like the T-800 was. Kind of a plot hole.

My favourite terminator has got tobe Robert Patrick the T-1000 simply because of his believable ability to blend in with society. He is much scarier than Arnie because he is smaller and disguises like a cop. Now that is a great disadvantage for John Connor.

Yes its the Highwayman-jacket that T1 was wearing (from the police station scene till the end). Its custom made from Bates Leathers (they also made the movie jackets).
I wear it mostly when I ride my motorcycle coz it looks EXTREMELY awesome. My fiancee always gets crazy when I wear it LOL.
About that guy, he must have some serious mental disorder. I told him Im done talking with him and after one month hes still talking to me! :)
I dont mind him, who knows how it feels having a cockroach-brain.

I believe that by the end of this century we will have cyborgs equal to the T101 model. I hope I will still be alive when we do. The technology is fascinating and terrifying at the same time. @CrushedJustice you make a good point, but if the movie had been better constructed instead of the over acting batman, and underuse of Michael Ironsides and bryce dallas howard, horrible Common cameo (had only 3 lines....) even the great Terry Crews was in there for like 2 seconds literally. I never got the fear for T-600's, they just looked like a flippy floppy K-nex robot, and the T-700 was just a joke, they shoulda just made his character another human, don't get me started on the heart thing

As a Terminator-fan this is my biggest question about the storyline of the movies. I hope someone can answer it:
Dialogue from T3:
- "That was a different T101!"
- "Are you sayin' you're coming from an assembly line?"
- "Correct!"
But if I understood T1 correctly, *ALL* T101s were looking different??? They show this in the flashback, where 2 101s with different faces attack the human base?? Isn't the half of the T1 all about Kyle ZEROING THE TERMINATOR COZ HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW IT LOOKED LIKE???

In other words:
Are T3 (but also T2!!) telling me that Skynet did all the effort to create a cyborg model with real human tissue that even "sweat, bad breath" and everything so it can fool the humans and infiltrate their bases and then produced A WHOLE SERIES with exactly the looking of Arnie??
I mean, the only logical would be that no T101 (or even other models newer than the rubber T600) would look like another, which I believe Cameron was smart and implied in the T1.
Any opinions on this?

@SaltehCrab T800 is the terminator. Model 101 is the arnie skin. So there where possibly other skin models like T800 model 102, T800 model 103 and so on.

Also, Kyle were fighting these machines & knew exactly it was a 101 when he was asked, & they're telling me he traveled through time & wasn't aware of the looking of a standard assembly line produced Arnie-like robot but had to spend the 1st part of a whole movie to find out? :D

Even T2 was an Arnie, so we have a total of 3 different 101's :)

In my opinion, if the writers were smart enough they should write the story of the movies in such a way that the Arnie Terminator or the 1st movie would always be the same in all movies (the pretty same android "induvidual") but comming always from different timelines, which were changing since the future were always altered in the present in the movies.
So instead of that stupid "it was a different 101" he should say something like "perhaps you teached me in another timeline that was erased".

You offered an alternative in making them all the same one throughout the movies. But that doesn't make what they did a plot hole. A plot hole is an error/inconsistency in the story. Plus, the one in T3 was actually a T-850 model 101.

I didn't say they made only one but only one WITH ARNIES APPEARANCE. They were produced with a random skin/face, so to speak. This is shown in Kyles flashback in T1, and only this would explain why Kyle was aware of the model but didn't know how the particular one (in T1) looked like and had to find out.
Also, it only makes sense that they had random appearance or the sweating and bad breathing wouldn't help much.

Then some pal suggested there was only one 101 made that looked like Arnie while there were others as well, 102 etc so the appearance was constantly changing while the actual endo remained the same (T800).
That also makes sense and fits very well with my suggestion above, but then, if only one Arnie-looking robot was ever created, we should logically not see any others in the next movies, but who wants that of course?

Say, after Skynet found the remainings in T1, the future humans knew, captured and reprogrammed Arnie to sabotage this specific termination mission of Skynet. Skynet, however, got aware and cancelled the mission for a few years until T1000 was and sent back in 1991 finally. So all humans had at that time, was their old reprogrammed Arnold robot, which they sent back in time too, etc...
I know a time travel story will never be paradox-free but I still find my suggestion a bit smarter at least.
