  • this video was perfect I played by ear throughout high school until 12th grade but my teacher didn't get a chance to teach me the concepts of minors and sharps and i eventually stopped playing for about a year. This video really helped me thanks a lot the work you put into this video is greatly appreciated 5 stars indefinitely if YouTube still had ratings

  • That computer representation of the piano is very helpful, I'm subscribed, Cheers mate

  • I just started playing the piano, and must say your videos are very useful and straight foward. gonna be practicing my butt off. thanks for offering your talent and expertise :) I hope to learn alot.

  • This was really helpful! Thanku so much :) Keep doing what your great at :D x

  • Holy shit the genius himself is responding to me :D Haha you're totally right though, I had the Bmajor mixed up somehow. It's just the funny look that you described which caught me off-guard. Thanks again and please continue to make more videos :)

  • Why is the B-chord so weirdly constructed though? It's really an out-of-place chord, it doesn't make sense does it? There's no 4-3 counting system for it..

  • @DoubleBogey 4half steps and 3 half steps works for all the major chords, including Bmajor. It just looks funny because of the white black black pattern.

Try recounting the number of notes in between and let me know!

  • hmm...handy video thank you, you make it sound alot easier, and also i've just learn't abit more about the piano even though i can't play the piano! ^_^

  • You're a patient and thorough teacher. Your efforts and generosity are much appreciated. Offhand, this is as good as any tutorials for music I have seen, and it covers more ground than any of the other ones.
