@stopglobalswarming yeah i guess. But in New Zealand wild pigs are bloody beautiful on the table,roosts chops or sausages! Tastes 10 times better then the shit they sell at the super markets! The meat has come from a pig thats been in a 5 by 2 foot cage its whole life. I cant eat that stuff!

@kathryn2348 Some times of hogs are eaten here. The condition of the animal and what its been eating matters. The lean or sick that have been eating scrub brush are no good. The bastards that have grown heavy on farmers crops are good stuff.

pigs are a domesticated species, and therefore only in the wild as a result of our actions, and we have the right and really the responsibility to at least control them. They are a royal nuisance, and not natural. This is actually good shooting. It's not easy to hit anything from a helicopter.

The thing that most people don't realize is that once hogs escape/become feral, they'll decimate crops, spread disease, and eat anything in their path! Where I live, in Michigan, USA, there's pretty much open season on wild hogs. We're trying to stop them before they become as big of a problem as they are in the southern States.

Where is this at? Why do shotguns with buckshot always sound so quiet when fired from a helicopter? I've watched some other clips from New Zealand and noticed the same phenomenon.

@mhainds The disruption in the air around the microphone by cabin pressure, or cabin vaccum if the windows/doors are open, and the Doppler effect, cause the shotgun to sound "quiet". The microphone/camera equipment compensates for the frequencies and volume of the rotors and engine, and to a degree, wind noise. Also, the shotgun pulse is suppressed by the electronics, just like gunshots on 9/11 calls.
