one last question with the leaping pool if you don't mind. since you took that pool do you recommend taking acrobatic also? or just the cj is enough?

I'm having trouble seeing your connection between CJ and Acro.

CJ gives +jump, but more importantly +def

Acro gives +KB Res and +Hold Res

Tankers in pve (for the most part) don't get knocked back or held...

They didn't nerf it.... They corrected a glitch it had for brutes. It's supposed to detoggle when mez'd because it's a partial offensive power. Brutes rttc did not. They fixed that.

Everyone has been saying that for a long time. The reason it hasn't been changed is because WP is a VERY overpowered class. It's on the same level of OP-ness as Regen is to scrappers. Just like there are some dumb things about regen, neither WP or Regen will (or should) ever be made better without first making everything else better.

Plain and simple, it's a weakness. Willpower has the fewest weaknesses of any class in thew game. At least it has one.

I see, although the leaping pool gives some good def don't you think you could have choosen maybe other pool like speed for hasten which contributes alot when it comes to perma rage for example and since perhaps you already have fighting (which gives the same type of def etc as the leaping pool). Or is it because you needed the def of leaping pool so you can become "tougher" and be able to withstand 6 gm?

This toon is obviously a PvE toon. It already has well beyond perma rage, it stays double raged for a good while. As for increasing that, that also means you have more rage drops. The faster you use rage, the more often you have rage drops. Which isn't good for a pve tanker. There's no valid reason to have hasten on this toon. Next, Combat Jumping does not give the same defense as Weave. Yes, the reason to get CJ is because you need it to get SJ and for +Def.

Willpower becomes this powerful when you have high defense. Weave gives good defense, you can use it.

I guess that's true for soloing, but I do not see a need if you're teaming as a level 50. I have a 50 willpower/fire and do just fine without Tough and Weave, I can also solo just fine as well, granted I can't take that many monsters, but when would you actually need to?

IO Sets aiming for capped HP (Once you hit cap, move on), regeneration and defense.

WP is a regeneration class, backed up by defense and damage resistance. IO Sets can give lots of +Defense. Use them. I've got: HP: 3216 End: 110 Regeneration: 108.0 hp/sec Recovery: 4.31 end/sec S/L DMG RES: 71% Defenses: 32% S/L 42% E/N 37% PSI 45% F/C

Not quite. Willpower is VERY dependent on it's regeneration. Regeneration is very dependent on Hit Points. Tankers have higher base Hit Points. The tanker in this video has 3212 HP, which is the tanker cap. Although that's the same cap as a brute, brutes have nearly 400 base hp less than tankers. The tanker in the video has 108 hp/sec regeneration WITH ONLY ONE FOE NEARBY. The best I could do on a wp brute is mid-80's.

I see, I guess if it was a brute with the same lvl and slotting, enhancement, etc in the video it would have probably died when it gets to that point when SoW wears off.

I'm making either a ss/wp brute or wp/ss tanker but can't decide which one to make, only for pve, so far this video helped me alot to see how a tanker can take extreme beating. Too bad there is no brute video like this to compare and contrast. Nonetheless great video

In short, a WP brute can not take this kind of beating. It can take a beating, but not 6 GM's worth. The best I can compare for you is in pvp.

As of 2 months ago, I had the best Scrapper on Virtue. (I haven't been playing much since then)

On my scrapper, vs. an equal WP tanker, I've gone 10-12 minutes of continuous pounding on it, before it died. But the WP tanker couldn't do much of any damage to me.

On my scrapper, it takes me about 7-8 minutes to kill it. But the brute can hurt me. FURY!

SS's Foot Stomp is the best tanker AoE attack, without competition. It has the best radius of any attack, only Stone Melee's Tremor has the same radius. But it's damage is far superior to Tremor. Although any secondary could work for willpower, SS is certainly a good choice for pve, and even better for pvp.
