It's been 8yrs already since Richard Burns Rally. Still found no games that can beat their realistic physics and feel.

WTF. 5th gear -> 6th Gear at 168kph.

When do you see WRC cars shift from 5->6 at 170kph?

Go look up for onboard videos from wrc.com or youtube videos with speedometer. its about 140kph +/- 15 depending on fast or slow rally.

And the gravel rally looks too much grip. The hairpins are like3rd gear corners!

Difficult to see in the video, how are the graphics in medium to far distances? In the first game they were barely torelable up to few meters away from the car, anything further away became a water painting with crayons on top and pixelated at that.

Are there long stages or only up to 3-4 min?

i live in leon, the wrc mexico city, and i've been to that stage and i can tell you it is much, much shorter and there are no grandstands or barriers, another year with completely fake environments, last year, piramids in rally mexico and now, a fantasy stage, again, blackbean are making the game with their feet, are the wrc guys stupid? why don't they give the license to someone who can make a good game, not an arcae trash

On nearly every video I see of racing sim/game, nobody uses cock pit view!!

On all the videos and comments, all I see is "I want a sim", "I want realism", how f*cking real can it be when everyone is looking at the back of their own car or sitting on the roof when they are racing/driving!!!

I know that people can play and drive however they want, but it just pisses me off, not sure why!! lol

BTW, I use cock pit and no assists for EVERY driving game/sim I have, if I do, so should you!

The graphics of the first WRC (by Milestone) were so bad; I got depressed when playing the game. After 30 min. I had to change WRC for another one with better looking graphics (like Dirt2 or 3, or even MCLA or TDU2)... So I really hope that they change the graphic quality to a higher standard. De car handling however was not bad at all, and the stages were much longer, so lots more fun to drive... Again; the graphics were bad and ruined this game for me!

Milestones notes for WRC 2011: Make Super Specials and add new car models, add motion blur and put on shelf.

Hmmm. Looks & sounds just like the first game. These videos don't explain why SBK 2011 also looks and sounds very much like SBK X (with a revised arcade mode and new photo mode).

I thought Milestone were more focused on the WRC game, clearly I was wrong.

I gave Milestone the benefit of the doubt with WRC 2010. After the subpar graphics were forgotten about, the driving model was akin to Colin McRae 2.0 & it has a LONG career mode. Those were its best features.

Awful. Car handling looks rubbish. Even the developer cant drive the car.

Rally stange was long and completely uneventful. left, right, left, right.. rinse repeat.

SS stage was completely flat apart from the jumps. Car models are shite. Engine sounds were crap. Co-driver is monotone. Fire out of the exausts looks crap.

There was like 1.. ONE.. 1 tree model just repeated over and over. And many more. OK its and early build but do you really want to show off something that bad!!!

first they make a couple of great games (Colin McRae Rally 1,2,3,4,5) then they introduce a new series

of games including Ken Block, Ford Fiesta, Monster Energy Drink, Baja and Los Angeles propaganda which obviously has nothing to do with world rally and now they are trying to justify their sponsors instead of making a proper game based on rally using the grate name of Colin McRae!

Graphics look pretty bad... Especially that weird glitch on the shadow of the Mini. And the backfire sound effect sounds weird too, like old dialup internet. Also, how realistic are the stages? I heard in the first game they used complete fabrications, nothing like the real stages at all. In this game they look more realistic but he did say that one of the tracks was an updated version from the old game.

Hope the handling is simlar to 2010, I loved the feel, It was not entirely realistic but had a nice weighty feel to the car and how in multiplayer everyone would not slow down before they turned the corner :P

MP was a great part of the game too, 16 players ghosts on one track :D
