  • Yep I have both series I used to watch it in about 1979 after comming in from school. Unfortunately "playing" monkey magic at school got banned. Quit understandable really as the main meat of the game involved runing around shouting you "naughty demon" etc and proceeding to beat the shit out of each other, mm the good old days.

  • Anyway hope you're happy with all my comments, Ive rambled on for abit now lol. Still atleast it might help attract others to join in on ur channel and share their views. I do very much like Monkey the original 80s series cus its so different to other shows, its not just a comedy series, although the humor plays a big part. Each episode has a personal story, which has a very good moral to tell, from Buddha, if you also listen to what they are talking about. Its so Interesting.

  • Also Govts hav played a big part in trying to cover up answers and clues to our true origins on Earth, becus even Govts come from groups throughout history, Massionic and such. Elitists think they can become thier own Gods, trying to control the people. All this history not just from China comes from sum very real fact. You have to go to the earliest time of earth, man was enlightened you can say, in a sense, by God. Its only man's small way of thinking has lost the very true message of God.

  • Many religions r good, I think Buddhism, especially Chinese Buddhism is one of the most peaceful, Buddha teaches compassion among other philosophies. Man has fought wars against himself over who thinks they have the right Interpretation of God's original message, this is why I dont favor any religions, Islam thinks it is telling the ture and exact message of God, Christianity the same, Judaism, Skihism, Catholic, all the same, but all these hav done throughout time is only blur the true message

  • Its only been over time that this actual message has been translated possibly to scriptures sum time after, and from there, has been changed so much over time, by many different peoples, who hav took what they wanted from it, and out of this has spawned so many different religions, philosophies throughout the world. The teaching of Buddha is only one interpretation of this original message. India made thier own take on this, and out that they themselves created lots of religions.

  • I absolutely luv the original Monkey tv series, Its such a charming show, but I also luv on another level becus of the whole Chinese Mythology. And Im not even a big fan of this particular subject either, I not believe in any religion what so ever, but I do very much believe that God is real. I believe man was enlightened in sum way, that a message or sumthing was given to man in the very early time of earth. I believe God's message was interpreted into original texts, tablets even.

  • @RaikenXion perhaps if you not appart of a religion and your not happy with the current religions perhaps you should start your own as you said you do believe god does exist, but spirituality isn't bound by religion, religion is just a social outlet of spirituality

something to think about maybe I'm catholic but I love the whole asian symbolism and mythology behind asian cultures

  • @Blashada But this is the thing, starting my own "religion" does not solve anything. We as humans needs this thing religion as our only way of following and understanding God. If many of us can really truly feel God and believe he is with us, then y do we need religion. I understand religion is comes from the message of God, from the very early days of man's existence on earth. This message has been translated into scriptures, and changed, altered throughout time by "religion."

  • @Blashada People today treat religion like how people follow sport/football. They all hav thier own football strip, thier colors, and they go the stadium to watch the game every weekend or so, this is exactly like how people follow religion. To me I just cant understand this, I can accept if a large group of people r really feeling God, they can all go to a place together and share thier experience, pray and follow God.

  • @Blashada But the trouble is many people today and I hav to point out the west especially use religion as sumthing to just follow, like a blanket, to help them in life. Many of these people who go to church r not really following God, they r just used to singing these hymns and such as a tradition, but they r not truly feeling GOD in thier mind body and heart. In the east they take "God" very very seriously, Mecca, all those thousands of people walking rnd that huge Black building.

  • @Blashada Wen a muslim needs a place to pray, they will drop whatever they r doing and just pray to "God," many people cant understand this, but this can mean that person is feeling God speaking to them in sum way, at that very moment, they r getting this overwhelming feeling of God, which makes them do these things. Monks who follow such things as Opus Dei, I think it is, they whip themselves to feel "Jesus's" pain, to be more closer to God.

  • @Blashada These few examples I only use to show these r people really following god. Sorry for my spelling, but I tend to cut short sum of my words its become a habit on here Im afraid. Im just trying to say many people out there really take thier religions very seriously. Im not saying Islam or any other eastern religion is totally correct, cus they r not, many of them take it abit too far, like beheading people, stoning women to death, I think even God wud never condone this.

  • @Blashada God is pure luv and pure compassion, God is powerful, God is sumthing we as human biengs can never fully comprehend. I do think many things each of these religions preach r correct. I like to think life is a test. That God gave us things such as choice and Love. These r things many of us get wrong, we make the wrong choices, and many of us dont fully understand Real Love.

  • @Blashada I just think religion today people tend to treat as more of a thing to follow, like a club, to give them structure in thier lives. I dont think there is anything wrong in this, its just many of them r not really actually feeling God, wen they sing those hymns, and pray, I think many of them, just arnt really, really feeling it (God), in thier hearts, but just doing it like a tradition. Not All, but Many, thats what I think anyway.

  • Like Christianity and the story of Jesus, or Islam and Its story of Mohammed and the other Prophets. Each country has had its own story and religion, the difference with China is they hav kinda strayed away from thier story and its become just more legend and Mythology. Chinese dont really take religion seriously. Theres still Buddhism which is only really practiced by the few, monks and such. Even Buddha is more a representation, but not God, its more about enlightenment.

  • Monkey was awesome! Dragonball and so many others borrow from this show, its pure Chinese mythology.

  • @RaikenXion The show was based on the book journey to the west also known as legend of the Monkey King

  • @darrenwolboldtalk2 Yes but you got to go before all that, what did I just say? "its pure Chinese mythology" lol.

  • i remember this :)
