@badassgamer202, It's a netbook, not a gaming PC. These things aren't meant for gaming. I ordered one just for using it in the bus or on school, and i get it with Android which makes it even better.

@soundbeans, It's kinda stiff. Just download them. Programs such as Gensoid (Sega Genesis Emulator) SNESoid (SNES Emulator), NESoid (NES Emulator), Gameboid (Gameboy Advanced Emulator) and GBCoid (GameBoy Color Emulator) are flawless with proper framerate settings.

10 years ago we could buy a "toy laptop" for that money. That had like 20x50 pixel resolution and had a tetris and some shit typing practice games.

Now we can buy a real computer for that money what you can use for listen to music, watch movies, check your emails, chat with friends, etc.

I really don't know what people expect for this money. Stupidest thing in the world when you compare 100$ computers with 1000$ computers. If you can't use a computer like this, thats your personal problem.

I travel a lot, so I needed a smaller netbook for simple internet use, typing, watch some movie, etc. First time I wanted to buy an 1,66ghz netbook for 400 bucks, but then I decided to not spend that much money and tried a 600mhz wince "netbook" for 80 bucks. I'm happy with that...

@ProviderMR If you like these kind of gadgets, I recommend you the 7" android tablets. I like android, because it supports almost every websites and the browsing is 3 times faster. I tried android on my 7" netbook, but its more like a tablet OS,hard to control with mouse and keyboard. Thats why I want to change my netbook to a tablet.At home, you can plug a mouse and a keyboard to the tablet, and use it like a notebook/netbook. But its smaller, lighter and knows some extra features(cam, 3D, etc)

I think it's rather amazing to be honest. Think back to when we were all kids and a PC cost over 2K. I had a mac Plus when I was a kid and and that thing was more expensive than that. Even though the OS is shit, the package and technology involved to make it and make it work make this seem like the Tata Nano of computers and it is an amazing cost engineering feet.

@flare178 300MHz is just enough for such a small and cheap device. It can actually run a lot of things with these 'small' specs - it's just that WindowsCE bottlenecks the heck of it.

I believe Ubuntu Netbook Edition should run fine on this thing. If not, atleast Xubuntu should run, since Xfce is supposed to be really lightweight...

Overall, I'd rather get a 12 year old desktop PC for this price and upgrade it to the most that it can hold - shouldn't be more than $200, and it'll be much better.

I put Windows 7 Ultimate on mine.The battery life is good, I get about 3 hours. Aero doesn't run, because I haven't found the correct driver yet. Sony Vegas isn't as fast as I had hoped, and forget itunes. I'm trying Photoshop tomorrow, wish me luck.

@mrIpodmagic You can buy easily in ebay. They call it the model 901, but I can source it to a manufacturing company in china called Shuoying and this product is exactly its UMPC7800W. It's only $37 excluding shipping, but please make sure you know clearly what is Windows CE and what is Windows NT. The best thing is you can use remote desktop application on Windows CE for Windows NT (e,g xp and 7).
