Mat. made a good call. He knew Gray was going to fold, making it heads up between him and a guy who was on the short-stack (maybe a guy who was looking to push or play with a weak hand). Consulting with anyone, while you're at the table and there is a hand in play, is strictly verboten. It's called collusion and it's against the written rules. Daniel would've been fully correct to call for a ruling and to have both opponents penalized, which would've automatically awarded him the pot. Of course, with the stone cold nuts and all your chips in the center, you want anyone and everyone to call. So he politely pointed-out to his opponents what I'm sure they already knew.
