your right. if I was hunting i would have waited. but i was filming.

this guy is not a trophy hunter though. just hunting for meat. so he takes them as they some. in our part of the country, unless you own a big chunk of land, managment does no good. maybe you pass up small ones but your neighbor won't.

but i agree, i passed on alot of nice bucks this year.

that must of been a small buck i caught a huge doe and i could not pull that mother fucker like 5ft and im a big strong mother fucker..too..haha it was the biggest doe iv ever caught! actually it was my first it weigh'd at least 370lbs maybe more it was huge.

Nice , chubby little buck. You should switch to a slug gun though. I shoot an H & R Slug Ultra and it shoots an inch and a half group (3 shots) at 100 yds using Hornady SST slugs. The best thing is the gun only costs about $280.00 but it doesn't come with sights so you'll need a scope. Believe it or not, if you zero this gun at 150 yds, you can reliably take deer out to 200 yds. This is probably the most accurate slug gun on the market.

u no u need 2 seperate barrels 2 accurately shoot slugs and buckshot so ur 1st or 2nd shot isnt goin 2 b a good 1

Well my gun will throw a slug pretty good...I can put 5 slugs in a 5 inch group at 50 yards. I just put a vid on my page of me shooting bowling pins at 110 yards with a smoothbore...the farthest shot I take at my house is about 40 yards...so the purpose I am using it for is more than good enough...

my grandpa has a 16 gauge that will hit a paper plate at 150...that is a smoothbore as well...some guns you can and some you cant hit the side of a barn if you were standing in it :)

Ya, hunter orange is required. Anywhere in Illinois that you hunt with a gun you need to be wearing Orange unless your on a high fenced hunt. Funny, I was thinking the same thing though. Congrats on the buck!

If you look it is a pump with a ribbed barrel. It looks somewhat smaller than normal so maybe it is a 16 gauge...possibly 20.
