  • Thanks for posting this! I used to mumble the "..not talking about movin-in"..part.

  • What happened to this type of music, it was the best, don't get me wrong i like nowadays stuff but this was really about the music and not the image...16 years old and adore old music.

  • Its a beautiful song sung from the heart...our world cannot have enough beauty.

  • 素敵なナイス・ヒットだった、イングランド・ダン&ジョン・フォード・コーリー、I'd Really Love To See You Tonight! 秋風の恋~シールズ&クロフツもマジ狂喜したよネ!

  • thumbs up for everyone

  • @Justinlimoris i mean who still hear this song

  • i really would love an instrumental to this song

  • Love this song. So much of the music from this era is just under appreciated.

  • I don't understand so many people saying what they thought the lyrics say, sounds dumb, silly, not important, instead of appreciate such a beautiful, tender, beautiful, and deep song.

  • @SRiveraIberico Calm down , calm down , it`s just a bit of chat !

  • having a good taste in music brought me here.

  • my dad is deceased but he would always put this song on 4 me!!

  • cold case brought me here

  • @nkfkdkdjk Cold Case Files also brought me here as well. I had to google the lyrics to try and find out who sang it.

  • i always thought the first part said momma told my bout the feeling lol

  • And I thought he was talking about he didn't want to change lights.. Dang,

  • I thought they were saying "I'm not talking about the Linen".

  • @Cardio1027 Ha ha! Me too!

  • @Cardio1027 Me too, man, me too.

  • @Cardio1027

    LOLOLOL

  • @Cardio1027 thats what i hear lol

  • I always thought they were talking about Linen like Towels and bath rags..

  • @Cardio1027 LOL...I always thought the words were "I'm not talking about Bolivian"....ain't no way they say "moving in...

  • An eternal classic...

  • Guess he's really not talking about linen ;) LOVE this song!

  • I've been hearing this song since forever and until now I thought they sang "Im not talking 'bout the red ants"... LOL

  • I always thought they said, I'm not talkin' about believin'....

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sounds good ...

  • I saw another lyric version which contained the following: "...there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out, and I'd really love to see you tonight." You got it right -- it's "there's a warm wind blowing the stars around, and I'd really love to see you tonight." There is something so romantic about those few words. Thanks for posting :)

  • monday back draft...

  • Great song. But, I'm still not convinced that the lyrics are "there's a warm wind blowin', the stars are out". I'm old enough to remember when this song came out and still can't tell what he says...lol.

  • @bigtomi That's funny....I always thought he sang "I'm no talkin' about the Linen", couldn't figure out what the hell he was talking about!

  • All these years I thought they said "I'm not talkin bout Bolivinas."

  • hehehe, yaay!!! i do like this song, and plus, i'd wish i was there back then, even though i wasn't, and i'm only 13!!!

    =D

  • Exactly my sentiments

  • When I heard this is in circa '76, I thought it was sorta silly, but now I love this song....only goes to show you how much you should appreciate the music from a bygone era....

  • CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC.

  • I finally found this song.

  • yay we got the woerds right yehhaw

  • exelent song

  • I LOVE this song, thank you :)

  • One of my all time favourites during a great time in my life!

  • Heh! Count me in with the legions of those who thought it was "linens." I've thought that ever since this came out when I was 3-years-old.

  • @VinylShellacLover I thought it sounded like "linen," but figured I was wrong from the get-go. The melody makes the words sound that way.

  • One of my fav. song from high school and still is.

  • clj29360....the reason we enjoy it is because you just put the song on, and added the lyrics with no fuss, and let the song be the star

Other people who do a song and lyrics, clj29360 shows how to do it right!

    Thank you

  • nice song!!!

  • Great song. Thanks for posting the lyrics.

  • Where it says," I'm not talkin about the MOVIN- it sounds like LINEN.

  • ` MICHELLE REANCHO. hahahaha. Well, u know me. :)

I miss you. ana lang.. ana lng. :((

  • LOOOVE this song. First time hearing this was on that movie The Long Kiss Goodnight with Gena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. Loved it ever since ;)

  • wow... this song reminds me how I felt when I went out with my high school sweetheart after 4 years of being apart and getting together when I came home on leave from my base in England... Thanks to my sister Kim for getting me to call her!! (we got married 4 months later) Been married now for 31 years.... :)

  • @anchorage20 aww, That's soo cutee ! :D

  • @anchorage20

That's a great story. I love listening to the old stuff!!

  • My frien loved this song I miss her bad and this song makes me smile..

  • Somebody better recognize the ice-cold game being spit in this song! Play on, Playaz!!

  • Classic... And "Warm wind blowin' the stars around" is artistic/ poetic license, doesn't have to be possible, gee whiz

  • Great Song thank you for posting it

  • soothing......

  • Thanks for the lyrics. I spent 20 or so years singing Millennium instead of Moving in. It does sound like millennium.

  • love this song! is that karen carpenter on backup vocals?

  • What happened on 02:10 ?

  • I've addicted this song somewhat 30 years ago. I remember that I just repeated it again and again without listening any other in the cassette.

    Still love this very much.

  • Whatever happened to the days when music was like this (?): sincere and pleasing to the ears. Today's music SERIOUSLY sucks! I wish the world was still listening to rock and roll, folk rock and soft rock. THAT is real music.

  • I heard this song constantly on the radio when I was a kid, I also named it "the coward's song" and I thought if any guy ever called with a similar proposition I'ld tell him to get lost. I also thought it was the apex of corporate fluff. I still think my original view of this song was right on target. still that I appreciate that cj29360 took the time to put the lyrics up on U-tube. As a kid in the 70's & 80's the music seemed like such a waste land. Garage punk became my thing.

  • Whenever I hear a quality song like this and then along comes some modern garbage on Radio Aire or Capital, I take comfort from the idea that today's "stars" wouldn't have been allowed anywhere near a microphone, let alone a studio, back in the seventies.

  • lmao I always thought they were saying, "I'm not talkin bout the livin' lol, well thats wot I sung up until now lol

  • Great song, but I always thought it was

“But there's a warm wind blowing,

    The stars are out, and

I'd really love to see you tonight.”

How could I have I been wrong all these years?

This makes me want to call an old girlfriend now.

Maybe I was wrong about her too.

  • @MoreThanYouExpected I'm with you. How can the wind blow the stars around??? When I seen what you wrote I had to re-play the song to see what you meant. LOL I'll continue to sing it my (and your) way since I only sing in the shower and no one hears me anyway, LOL

  • @VetSupporter That is a good question. Maybe it's a reference to how the stars appear to be moving around at night as the earth rotates (i.e. as the night progresses). I wonder what Parker McGee had going through his head when he wrote that line.

  • i enjoy listening to this song.

  • This song takes me back to a place and time when life was sooooo good. Thanks for letting me visit there again... RIP DAN SEALS...

  • The Seventies were a refuge from the Sixties. Still an island of peace amid the rap and raunch that passes for music today.

  • @PacRimJim You're an island from the insane nature of people who worship the ongoing, eternal, settle-for-less era of empty crap music of today. I've traveled the almost empty seas and it's always nice to run into one occasionally.

  • @PacRimJim I agree! ...just no other decade like the Super70's!

  • Was in love when this song came out. Lots of memories with this. Thanks

  • wow.. ! great song... old is always gold isnt it...

but I don't think in 30 years time people would be able to say the same thing..

  • Trish - Don't know why i contacted you. I just really wanted to talk to you. I love you so much.

  • I wish i was able to watch this on my IPhone. :( oh well great video.

  • My mom used to play this song when I was a kid. I was visiting my folks in Phoenix in September and it was on the radio. I tried to remember the name of the band and I kept coming up with English John. Could not find it on the internet and my mom ironically could not help. Been humming the tune without lyrics and it has been really pissing me off since I got back to the UK. By chance, I was watching the film, The Long Kiss Good Bye and it was on the car radio. Typed in the lyrics. Here it is.
