  • wonderful old song; Les Dawson's version still rules over all though!

  • How appropriate that a version of this song was done by Jimmy Carlton.

  • when I was a little girl my grandad sat me on his knee and sang this to me thanks for putting it on you tube I have such great memories of this song

  • lyrics?

  • When I was a little girl our old shopkeeper sang this all the time. I never forgot. I am 63 now, and he is dead and gone. Tearfuly nostalgic. Thanks youtube X

  • GO THE BLUEESS :D

  • my daughters name is Lily rose! so I love this song, thanks for putting it on youtube!

  • I have a recording by Eugene Stratton who introduced the song in 1898- but this guy is much better!

  • We are the Navy Blues, we are the old dark Navy Blues, where the team that never lets you down, we're the only team all Carlton knows, we've all the champions, they like to send us, we'll keep our ends up. and they will know that they've been playing, against the famouse old dark blues...

  • GO THE BLUE BOYS!!!!!!

  • I am amused that a Carlton supporter has the wherewithal to locate this.

  • Hahahaha. GO BLUES! I've known all the words to the carlton song since I was 2.

  • All together now, lets sing along 1,2,3, "She's my lady love --- ".Lovely! great old song .

  • I can't help with "Jimmy Carlton" but the 'Eclipse' record Label was maketed as a budget product by woolworths. This evolved into the Embasy lable and ran until the late sixties. Usually the records were cover versions of popular songs performed by their own artist's.

  • I do have Leslie Sarony, who was a well known artist on Eclipse, as well as many others. the way Jimmy Carlton sing this rendition on this recording is the best version i Have heard, and a good singer

  • I have not heard this recording for many years. What a joy to hear. Have you any more from this era for us to hear.

  • If anyone has any info on Jimmy Carlton. It would be much appreciated, as I feel that this is the best version of 'Lily of Laguna'i have ever heard.
