Thanx for saiyng, I spend a lot of time creating my own glyphs.
Then I saved in Monochrome Bitmap, just like it said in the tuturial (monochrome is 8-bit right?) and now, every time I try to play my game, the one I spend LOTS of time creating... Doesnt work!
It says: Invalid Image format.
Plz, tell me, in wich format did you saved your glyphs?
In the tutorial says 8-Bit Bitmap, I saved in Monochrome Bitmap, I thought it was the same thing.
Well, Im not entirely sure what the problem is. If it would make things easier, you can try using mine as a template and just saving over it. If you've downloaded the Phantom Legacy Demo, there should be a gylph BMP in the base directory. (C:\****\Phantom Legacy\). From there, just paste on top the glyphs you've worked on already.
I don't know how you did it, it was the same with Demon Legacy - you manage to make your battles look so smooth and fast-paced, even though you're just using the default system...
There's no huge amount of code in any of my games really.
Usage of battle animations (and aligning them properly) and timing. Making sure the enemy's speed isn't too high or too low makes a difference too.
Also take care to remember that the more enemies there are, the slower your characters act; so take that into consideration when making enemy parties and actual enemies. Just take care not to make the speed so low that the enemies dont have a chance to attack at all.
It's been awhile, but I remember that boss being not too hard. Is his final form's brute force too overwhelming? For the final form, just don't bother healing and focus on damage and keeping everyone alive; he'll most likely one shot any character during his final phase anyway.
Looks really smooth just like the first demo did. I really like the picture and animation usage. Seems like I'm not only one to throw basic attack command off from DBS, either.
Yes, sorry about that. When I tried to calibrate my recorder with my soundcard, I got a blue screen of death (3 times). If anyone knows how to get around that it would help a lot.
How do you get those "text shortcut" symbols?
Rpg maker 2003 doesnt have those.

If you use a program called RMRecker, you can import your own icons.

Shador22 is the game fun, and is it done? Is this demo long because I really want to play it full.

I like the jumping system you have, it's somewhat similar to what I'm developing for my game.
