This strategy doesn't work against a "GOOD" protoss player. They will ff and trap 2-3 roaches on their side of the FF and kill them with the zealots/stalker/sentry combo and then warp in additional units to kill the remaining roaches once the FF goes down. 4 roaches WILL loss to 4-5 stalkers and a sentry and as soon as the warp gate resets instant reinforcements!

Just so you guys know, I play random, and usually, the only way to reliably play zerg is to expo, defend, expo, tech, then go for the kill at 20 mins or so. Its not like terran with decisive shit like marines medivacs vs zerg, and just concentrate on strategic drops, nor ghost m&m early agression kill protoss with micro. Toss against terran is easy if they fail to stop tech to colossi/templar, toss vs zerg = joke.

But bronze league is full of shit, and they are better than this toss in the vid.

meh, i fought zergs doing this in bronze league, they seem to know only to get roach, then stop everything else til its too late... my counter is very very basic, scout early, keep probe alive long enough to see roach warren, counter with 3 cannons (they never seem to want to attack after cannons), 2gate cybernetics wall, skip robo, get void rays, kill his overlords and base, he will be supply capped long enough to stop him doing anything (but bronze league is really stupidly easy)

Good vid but as you said, your timing was off. you can do a 7 roach rush which has you knocking at his front door at about 5:15 which would have beaten warpgate tech right there. i think you should get the queen earlier (As soon as spawning pool finishes). that way even if your roach warren comes a bit later, you will have 6 larvae with which to pump out roaches (the 6 roaches should come out around 4:45.

@heero10 thats garbage, go watch day9tv's protoss early game, its damn easy compared to what zerg has, which is 0 reliable games.

Protoss can do a 3 gate robo, and choose between expo or tech, tech being either HT or Colosi, expo being, any shit you want with 9 gates. and them macro to 4-5 base, play a 30 mins game.

Zerg can only play long games reliably, worst race for low to mid level players. Don't you realise there are no zerg in bronze top 8 most of the time?

Double extractor is less efficient, overlord on 9 is the best economic wise. Numbers have proven that fact anyways this is of course a couple of weeks/months after this vid. :)

@Qwix1337 it really only puts you off by about 10 minerals overall, and you gain a surplus 15 minerals earlier which allows you to get a fast queen which = more larva which = seven roach rush. :)

saying 14 exttractor 14 pool as zerg is a bit off... that would lead us to belive that you made a drone in between your extractor and pool. really what is being done is 14 extractor 13 pool because as you know when a drone builds something it lowers your supply by that 1 drone :)

You should add ling speed as pool pops, you had surplus of 100 gas even after the initial roaches. Speedlings also help for backteching if they get a large number of stalkers.
