Why would the producers lie in the commentary about the pigheads, plainly retarded. I urge you to not get hyped up for an 8th because you will only be very disappointed if they dont end up doin it. It ended with a phenomenal touch, just accept it, everything ends sooner or later.
this is the most satisfying ending to a saw movie. Hoffman is a complete psycho son of a bitch, and watching him get his is so satisfying. I watched this movie in theaters and most everyone stood up and cheered when Gordon is like "I don't think so" it makes me so happy. Watched this clip like 10 times in a row.

@OfficialSaw3D Bodies decay at different rates. When they built the cemertary at Gettsburgh (example) and were unburying the temp graves of soldiers, some bodies despite being buried a few weeks at most, were badly decayed, others were still fresh as if they had JUST died. So it is possible.
@volgen999 adam doesent have his chain on because it was put on hoftmans foot and in the first film dr gorden chucked it to the other end of the bathroom (near the bathtub) and the box was also chucked asside when dr gorden had a senior moment when he couldent use it to get the phone (that he had chucked asside earlier )

Dr. Gordon was never an apprentice. He was only there to help with anything medical, which is 80% of the movies. He's not going to continue the murders or anything. He's just keeping a promise to jigsaw to kill a man who wronged his legacy, going so far as to kill the woman he loved.

@FeisaR4 Hoffman made the traps for Saw 5 and 6 too. If you look at Saw 5, in a flash back made from Saw 3, Jigsaw was lying on a stretcher giving Hoffman instructions to set up another game for Saw 5. And in Saw 6, he knew of the 5 envelopes Jigsaw left for him and demanded them from Jill Tuck. He just didn't know of the 6th envelope. And Hoffman made his own traps in Saw 7 and used voice changer software to make himself sound like Jigsaw. Jigsaw never had to do that.

couldnt hoffman just do what eric matthews did, snap off his foot. and he would have food an water to survive. he could use either the tub or the toilet water. and he'd have to turn cannibal and eat the remains of the dead bodies already in there. so it is possible for him to survive , for them to make another one. which they won't. i would have loved to see the headtrap usesd on hoffman rather than jill. but this ending is great anyways.

@patdechamp I'd like to see a Saw 10 made. This time, Hoffman dies a horrible and painful death. But in Saw's 8 and 9, he goes on another killing spree and manages to escape the police and FBI... until Saw 10. And I might have a good story line for Saw 10. While Hoffman is on trail for numerous murders, a game is going on that he set up and if he isn't released, the game will continue going on and kill members of the judge's family. Hoffman gets off but is put into a trap and is killed.

And I don't think Gordon can continue the games because he only has one foot. So he really can't do anything to set up any type of game.

@agentbl no, that trap occured between Saw and Saw II. It was confirmed in writer's commentary on Saw 3D. We were supposed to see John outside in the crowd watching. Then later, we were supposed to see John and Gordon working on it together.

@noellerox13 John never asked him to kill anyone, he never made him do those things. Those were all by the choice of the Doc. And being that, at the time, he didn't hear of any deads, he helped start it all. Doc last and only real job was to make sure nothing happened to Jill and if it did to end the cycle of unfair kills. Jill was killed unfairly, being unable to have a chance to escape, so the Doctor was making sure that Hoffman died that way also. Only longer and much more painful.
@noellerox13 He did still have dirt on Gordon. Plus, at the time, no one was hurt. The best move was just to stick to it all and help. Over time, they became somewhat friends. This is why he asked him to carry that out. It's not a trap, there's no way out. Gordon is putting an end to the Saw games. He'll be the one to cap the legacy of Saw. This is how it ends. And Gordon, ironically enough, is the one to end it.
I personally think they went with this ending because they knew that the fanbase majority wanted this to be the truth. They did it to appease the fans for their finale.

I mean I know it wasn't very good, but the only survivors from that trap were Hoffman, strohm (spelling?) and Jeff's daughter. I seriously doubt that. The electricity is still running in the bathroom. I doubt there are any problems with bills. Hoffman has access to water from the bath tub but not food. He will die of starvation.
@Mojito133 Gordon, has only one foot, can you blame him? I think the other two pigheads were his wife and daughter. Notice how one figure is noticeably shorter than the others. If it has been long enough for his foot to have decayed to the bone, It's long enough for his daughter to have grown that much.

couldnt hoffman just do what eric matthews did, snap off his foot. and he would have food an water to survive. he could use either the tub or the toilet water. and he'd have to turn cannibal and eat the remains of the dead bodies already in there. so it is possible for him to survive , for them to make another one. which they won't. i would have loved to see the headtrap usesd on hoffman rather than jill. but this ending is great anyways.

@patdechamp I'd like to see a Saw 10 made. This time, Hoffman dies a horrible and painful death. But in Saw's 8 and 9, he goes on another killing spree and manages to escape the police and FBI... until Saw 10. And I might have a good story line for Saw 10. While Hoffman is on trail for numerous murders, a game is going on that he set up and if he isn't released, the game will continue going on and kill members of the judge's family. Hoffman gets off but is put into a trap and is killed.

@patdechamp The two piggies were Brad and Ryan from the public trap in the beginning. And as for the money, I think Gordon took it and split all of it up between him, Brad, and Ryan. And I don't think Gordon can continue the games because he only has one foot. So he really can't do anything to set up any type of game.

And that's what confused me about Hoffman all this time. The man was a cop... A COP! It is never revealed throughout the Saw series about where Hoffman got his training to make all those traps. He's not a mechanical engineer. Jigsaw was. And Hoffman was dumb. He gave up his career to become a killer. That shit is mad stupid. Who does that?

@agentbl John taught Hoffman and what he knows. Gordon just helped sewing stitches and placing the metal rods into the arteries. Plus, Gordon helped John set up the Public Trap after his marriage failed and he lost his job, and go Stockholm Syndrome, the same thing that made Amanda help Jigsaw. Hoffman was just blackmailed, but because of John, it turned him into a cold blooded murderer.

@ZWKA1 That's where I think you're wrong. There's no way Gordon could've helped John put together that public trap. He's not an engineer. Hoffman was the one who put that public trap together. Hoffman is the sick bastard who would have that kind of sick mind to have people getting mutilated in public while people watch in horror. And yes Hoffman was blackmailed into helping John and that was John's mistake, which he tried to correct with the head trap he left for Jill to kill Hoffman.

@agentbl no, that trap occured between Saw and Saw II. It was confirmed in writer's commentary on Saw 3D. We were supposed to see John outside in the crowd watching. Then later, we were supposed to see John and Gordon working on it together.

@noellerox13 John never asked him to kill anyone, he never made him do those things. Those were all by the choice of the Doc. And being that, at the time, he didn't hear of any deads, he helped start it all. Doc last and only real job was to make sure nothing happened to Jill and if it did to end the cycle of unfair kills. Jill was killed unfairly, being unable to have a chance to escape, so the Doctor was making sure that Hoffman died that way also. Only longer and much more painful.

@noellerox13 He did still have dirt on Gordon. Plus, at the time, no one was hurt. The best move was just to stick to it all and help. Over time, they became somewhat friends. This is why he asked him to carry that out. It's not a trap, there's no way out. Gordon is putting an end to the Saw games. He'll be the one to cap the legacy of Saw. This is how it ends. And Gordon, ironically enough, is the one to end it.

Does anybody know what a sucking chest wound is? Or even pay attention to saw V? I mean I know it wasn't very good, but the only survivors from that trap were Hoffman, strohm (spelling?) and Jeff's daughter. Besides the fact that there were only three reported survivors, there is no way riggs could have survived a gunshot wound to the chest and survived...
