@amoskow The part where the dude is standing in the frame of the camera and the video clip is playing while he is in the shot. That is definitely augmented reality...
This looks like the perfect tool for tourism. Getting people at the right streets to view a cinematic movie. Problem though, how would filmmakers make them?
Thing is it'll only be possible in cities where 'block-buster'-type movies have actually been filmed, pretty much excluding people in what, 90% of the world's cities from actually trying it out? LOL
I read the description wrong and I thought that the app made what you saw look like it was in a movie, because I didn't recognize the first few movies until I saw the Harry Potter scene. I kind of think that would be a cooler app.
Oh, so this isn't AG at all. The app just shows you the place and angle, you position yourself and stand around until your arms start hurting so much that you want to cry, but you're already crying because it's such a fucking small screen.
@ANDREI00998 Well people sit on Facebook for ages hoping for a interesting status or photo update, it doesn`t contribute anything to you life either =/
I had a similar idea but put it on hold because of the licensing of the clips. If they can get around this for a reasonable rate, I think it looks like a winner!

The novelty might, but the dollars will keep on spending. And if it's useless to you, it might not be for the millions of people who live in London who might quite enjoy it for a few hours of fun. Either way, even at a dollar or two, they'll make money hand over fist. Brilliant. It won't work all of the time, but what novelty does? they still get your cash.
Thats a lot of walking just to watch a movie.
