This show makes me feel better about my housekeeping skills. *I'm not really stellar but my house isn't filthy...I just got a steam cleaner and I deep cleaned my carpets for the first time we moved in..the water that was extracted was BLACK!! eww...clean carpets now yay*
I simly love Kim and Aggie. Always get a good tip on cleaning, especially concerning the bathroom. They realy are patient, and helpful. I'd beat the hell out of this sort of people.
I love this show because they really do seem to care about helping these people, and even though they show all of the filth and muck and god knows what, they don't do it in a cruel or malicious way.
The narrator in the American version seems to have a "transatlantic" accent. I am American and I thought he was actually British. However, after listening for awhile, I guess he is American but has adopted a kind of neutral accent.
the mother needs her arse kicked for letting her daughters live in such filth. no wonder they are a couple of lazy smart arses.however they did appreciate it in the end which was good to see.
not necessarily. My mom is a bigger lady. My dad, however is skinny. I got my dad's figure. We don't know what their dad looks like or what kind of metabolism he has so..... lol......
i don't see that.. i do notice that the americans get more excited and vocal. But the brits are just quieter. Most tend to appreciate it just as much.
dishwashers are cheap, i bought mine for 200 euros 5 years ago, and it's A` class, it makes it's money in the first 3 months, saves on the power bill and water bill, not to mention it washes the dishes in boiling water killing any germ. Can't do that handwashed or you'll scortch your hands off. Go for it, give yourself a treat and get a washer. (saves time too)
the problem with this, for me at least, is that i live in a flat and there is no place to insert a dishwasher without ripping the kitchen apart.. which i can't do :(
no no, get a portalble one. They look like really big microwave ovens. I move around alot due to my husbands work so i got a small one, no need to install one of those big ones unless it's your permanent house.
Of the Americans so far I've found this one the most entertaining. I was SO happy for those girls at the end - they looked like sweethearts . Kim & Aggie outdid themselves with their humor. I love them to pieces !!! Such ladylike smart butts :)

@mere2k Ugh, I can't stand Aggie; I saw one show where she was "bragging" about her large chest, saying how much her husband likes it, etc. That's terrible!! She makes it sound like if you don't have a large chest, you aren't as womanly or sexy or whatever. That should have nothing to do with it! Plus these women are sooo noisy, and always saying g-o-d, as in "oh my god", etc. It's not good to use the Lord's name in vain.
You can tell this is the americanized version through more than just the accents...notice all the 'clever and subtle' product plugs..swiffer, mr. clean, bounce...
Yes, they hardly show any natural solutions that's why I like the British one much better. All these adverts are just a load of bull. A whole house can be cleaned with only hot water, baking soda, and cheap white vinegar.
I'm American, and I also like the British version much better. I've learned a lot from watching those episodes. I love the natural cleaners so much more. Although I do admit I'm a fan of those Magic Erasers. They're fantastic!
@MadamGul I don't think it has anything to do with the American version. The later UK versions were pretty much the same. I am sure the producers of the show decided they could gain some money by showing off these cleaning products.
A whole house can be cleaned with anything. I've cleaned with everything. Hardly matters, as long as it's something that cuts grease.

If this is how they keep their house, imagine how filthy their cunts are; i bet it's like opening a grilled cheese sandwich.

unless the cleaning ladies made organising easy for them, the house is gonna turn into a shit sty in no time.

I don't like the product placement, but I love how grateful the americans are compared to many of the English people they show on the UK version.

Yes,us Americans are thought of as loud by quieter Europeans.

there are a lot of differences between the US and UK shows.
i prefer when they show u more simple, less costly measures, but i love the camaraderie :)
