ONE POINT I'd like to make to anyone new watching this video!!

ALWAYS make layers when editing a photo and don't merge all until the photo is complete. That way if you fuck up at one point, you can just delete the layer you were working on and start it over. Flatten/Merge only when you are done editing!

I have questions for you, as I am really into photography I'll be doing a photo shoot of my 4 months old niece and I wanted a program to enhance the photos...

SO my questions are:

Can you add back grounds? Delete unwanted objects from the photo?

Make the baby or the back ground black and white?

ANd ALso do you know the difference between Paint Shop Pro Photo x2 and

Paint Shop Pro Photo x2 Ultimate ? and Paint Shop Pro Photo x3 ultimate?

WOW! I have this software, and have been trying to figure out how to really use it to it's potential. I never knew what on earth a raster layer was, I'd found it in the program but didn't know how to use it, or what half of the editing tools were for! This is so helpful, thank you!

She rearry pwetty X3 anyways, i don't understand the eye colour thing, cuz you say lower the opacity, but your layout is slightly different to mine and i have to double click the layer and lower it there. What do you do?

Nice tutorial and excellant work. I am a long time PSP user and I still learned something. I would suggest viewers use the pause button to read what you are doing at each step. Also, for readers:

Lightroom is a RAW processing program. If you use RAW camera photo format, you should first make picture adjustments then you can save as Jpeg and use PSP X2 to retouch. I use Bibble 5 for RAW (not fully released as of 10/19/09)

thank you, and uhmm, im not sure if its the best? i mean it is reallyy good, and to me its easy to use. like some people would say photoshop is the best photo editing software, but i find paint shop pro easier and i like it better. just my opinion. but i mean when you just start with it, its gonna take some practice but overall its pretty easy once you get the hang of things.

I have used both photoshop and Corel and they are basically the same especially for an amateur photographer. But when you compare $99 to whatever photoshop, what $399 or $499 is going for now, this is the best for your buck! I would be interested to see how adobe lightroom is if anyone has used that. Of course photoshop has more options but as an amateur your really not going to use them plus corel in my opinion is much easier to use and understand.
