  • Is this Markie's only time she received?

  • I know, we are finally seeing episodes from other seasons of this great show!

  • When celebrities received, they seemed quite likely to guess categories from Dick's perfect clues.

I could hardly believe Markie said "..penetrate"

I thought watching this "Oh darn it!, if only the contestant had said what Dick Clark said (for ..reduced as well), how memorable the win would have been!"

  • The last two categories were TOUGH. Note the last one---that helped Mary Monte win the $100,000.

  • Penetrate was one of the tournament of champion catetories yeah... "Drill Bit" was one of the clues that the celebrity gave that time.

  • Mary Monte did her homework though. If you watch her win, she goes through a dozen categories previously used on the show. Example...

    Lauri Hendler: A car's fender

Mary: Okay, things that get bumped. Things up front.

    Lauri: Umm...

    Mary: Chrome.

    Lauri: Yes.

  • Was this the only time Markie Post ever received clues in the winner circle?

  • No, this was the "$25,000 Pyramid," which came back to GSN recently.

  • This is $100,000.

  • Wrong, This was $25,000 Pyramid.

  • I can see where you'd be confused, though, GarfieldVsSnoopy. Markie wore that same outfit on the Monday episode of the week after the first $100,000 tournament on the syndicated $100,000 Pyramid in November of the same year. :-)

  • Josh, how does it feel to see the 1985-1986 episodes on GSN?

For me, it has been fantastic so far. I also want to mention that the non-GSN episodes of $25,000 Pyramid are very high on my list of stuff that I'd like to see on GSN (along with the non-GSN episodes of "Press Your Luck", which also haven't been seen since USA Network).

Hopefully, they'll show 1983-1984 episodes one day. That is the most highly sought after year for me, followed by 1984-1985, and 1986-1987.

  • OMG, It's awesome!! I love it... Thank you, GSN!! Finally, I can relive the good ol' days of USA... :-)
